39 Advisors named to Forbes' 2019 "Top 250 Next-Gen Wealth Advisors" list

New York24 Jul 2019, 15:35 CEST

New York, July 24 - Forbes recently released their inaugural 2019 "Top 250 Next-Gen Wealth Advisors" list of the top young financial advisors who were nominated by their firms. This year, they recognized 39 Financial Advisors at UBS who represent the future of the wealth management industry.

The Forbes ranking rates wealth advisors with the minimum criteria of: being born in 1980 or later, having four years of financial service experience, and spending one year at their current firm. They also weigh factors such as individual custodied assets, productions/PCs and compliance records.

At number five on this year's list is Aric Zamel of Beverly Hills, who manages USD 934 million in assets. Other financial advisors in the top 10 include Ryan Long of Dallas, Texas and Rachel Gottlieb of New York, New York.

Also profiled on Forbes' ranking page is Xi Qiao, a San Francisco financial advisor who manages USD 793 million in assets. Ranked number 50 on the list, Qiao had only USD 80 in her pocket when she began college at UC Berkeley on a full scholarship, selling ad space on university buses as a side job. Three years later, she graduated before her peers and presold two years of future ad space. Now at UBS, she works with American and Chinese business people, entrepreneurs and venture capitalists. Her advice to tech clients with concentrated stock is to get financial advice from a human advisor "because it gets complicated, especially with selling stock options. You need to get a good CPA, too."
