Michael Crowl is the General Counsel for UBS Group Americas and UBS Wealth Management Americas (WMA).
As General Counsel, Michael is responsible for coordinating and supervising the provision of legal coverage for all of UBS's businesses in the Americas, working with authorities and regulators to help navigate the firm through industry changes and helping our businesses achieve their strategic goals. He is a member of the Legal Executive Committee as well as the Americas Executive Committee and the WMA Executive Committee.
Before joining UBS, Mike worked at Barclays in a number of roles including General Counsel, Americas and, prior to that, Global General Counsel of Barclays Global Investors. Before joining Barclays, he spent more than ten years at Goldman Sachs holding various positions in New York, London and Hong Kong, including General Counsel, Goldman Sachs (Asia) and Global General Counsel of the Investment Banking Division.
A graduate of the Smeal College of Business at Pennsylvania State University and with a JD from New York University School of Law, Michael first worked as a Corporate Finance and M&A associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in New York.
