Lane Strumlauf

Lane heads the West Division of UBS Wealth Management Americas, where he runs an 11-market, 68-office territory spread across 13 states. He oversees approximately 1,400 Financial Advisors who manage $200 billion in client assets, and also serves on WMA's Executive Committee.

Professional History

Prior to his current role, Lane was Regional Director for the Northwest United States (2014-early 2016). As a complex director and branch manager, he also served on WMA's Branch Manager Advisory Council (2012-14; co-chair, 2014) and as president of the Florida Securities Dealers Association (2010).

Lane began his career in the financial services industry in 1992 as a financial advisor with Shearson Lehman Brothers' Atlanta office. He later moved to Prudential Securities and Smith Barney, where he was a successful branch manager, complex director, and regional sales manager in South Florida, as well as a management training officer in New York.


Lane received his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Florida in 1988.

Family & Personal Interests

Lane and his wife, Melissa, live in Orinda, California, along with their three children Brooke, Faith and Hunter. Away from work, he enjoys golf, the outdoors and traveling with his family. Lane's philanthropic interests are centered on medical research — after losing his closest friend and multiple family members to cancer, he has become an active fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children's Research and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
