Lane Strumlauf

Lane is a Managing Director and the West Division Director for Wealth Management USA, where he runs an 11-market, 68-office territory spread across 13 states. He oversees roughly 1,300 Financial Advisors and also serves on Wealth Management USA's Management Committee. Lane is also a member of the Board of the UBS Political Action Committee.

Professional History

Prior to his current role, Lane was Regional Director for the Northwest United States from 2014 through early 2016. In 2015, he and his team were recognized as Region of The Year for top overall performance across the firm’s key business drivers, including talent management, net new money flows, revenue growth and profitability.

Under Lane's previous leadership, South Florida Complex was named 2013 Complex of The Year. Beginning in 2010, Lane was recognized in On Wall Street's Top 100 Branch Managers for four consecutive years. He also was appointed to the firm's Branch Manager Advisory Council (2012-14), serving as its Co-Chair in 2014. Previously, Lane served as President of the Florida Securities Dealers Association (2010).

Lane began his career in the financial services industry in 1992 as a Financial Advisor with Shearson Lehman Brothers in Atlanta, Georgia. Throughout his time there, and later at Prudential Securities, he was a successful Branch Manager, Complex Director, and Regional Sales Manager in South Florida as well as a Management Training Officer in New York City.


Lane received his BS in Accounting from the University of Florida in 1988.

Family & Personal Interests

Lane and his wife, Melissa, live in Orinda, California, along with their three children Brooke, Faith and Hunter. Away from work, he enjoys golf, the outdoors and traveling with his family. Lane's philanthropic interests are centered on medical research — after losing his closest friend and multiple family members to cancer, he has become an active fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children's Research and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
