For our 2024 signature event during Art Basel Miami Beach, the UBS Sports & Entertainment team hosted an exclusive conversation with three visionary figures in the worlds of sports and visual art. Our event featured Amar’e Stoudemire, former NBA all star, art collector and owner of Stoudemire Cellars; Bisa Butler, critically acclaimed and award-winning textile artist; and Larry Ossei-Mensah, curator and co-founder of ARTNOIR, a global creative collective.

Each of our panelists had a unique point of view on the path towards collecting art: Amar’e as a collector, Bisa as the artist who the art is being purchased from, and Larry as the curator and collector where the art is platformed. Moderated by UBS' Wale Ogunleye, this conversation discussed how the craft of collecting art is a personal journey, along with art’s philanthropic and cultural significance.

This event was an excellent way for our UBS clients and visionaries to kick off Art Basel week among an audience of sports and entertainment creatives, executives and entrepreneurs.
