Thanks to these simple tips, there’s nothing standing in the way of a relaxing break – whether in Switzerland or for a trip abroad.
Tip #1
More room for hiking boots: leave the card reader at home
Download the UBS Access App and the Mobile Banking App and log in to E-Banking or Mobile Banking without an additional device. You don't need to pack a card reader for account balance inquiries or payments to known recipients either. Do you want to be prepared for adding new payees when you’re on the move? Simply increase the limit for payments without confirmation.
Tip #2
All under control: receive notifications about accounts and cards
Keep an eye on credit card movements and stay informed about expenses and account transactions – via push notification, text message or e-mail.
Tip #3
Pay for your train ticket quickly and easily with TWINT
With the TWINT App, you can pay for your public transport ticket securely and conveniently – for example at SBB, Lezzgo, Fairtiq and in the apps of regional transport providers. It’s best to register TWINT once as the standard means of payment. This will allow you to make ticket purchases at the speed of an express train in future.
Tip #4
Heightened anticipation: have foreign currencies delivered straight to your home
Save yourself the trip to a branch and order the banknotes online in the currency of your next travel destination in e-banking or in the Mobile Banking app. The banknotes will be delivered to your home within 1 to 2 days.
Tip #5
React in an emergency: block cards on your app
A lost or even stolen credit card is an annoyance, especially on vacation.
React right away, block your card and order replacement cards – via app or in e-banking.
Tip #6
Adjust your travel budget: recharge your card balance on the go
Your credit card limit is too low or almost depleted? Quickly transfer money to your credit or prepaid card.
Tip #7
Make contactless payments by smartphone
With the “Mobile Pay” function, Samsung Pay, Google Pay or the popular UBS TWINT App, you can turn your smartphone into a wallet. Whatever the alternative, you can pay securely and contactlessly without cards or cash. In Switzerland and all over the world.

Define a daily and monthly limit
Deciding on a limit offers additional security when you lose your debit card. Define a limit with a few clicks and adjust it anytime in the Mobile Banking app.
Pay in the foreign currency with your credit card
When abroad, you’ll often be asked in which currency you want to pay. We recommend: choose the foreign currency. You’ll avoid additional fees and have full transparency on your card statement.
