“Schenk mir eine Geschichte" (Tell me a story) – literacy for a level playing field in Switzerland

“Schenk mir eine Geschichte” (Tell me a story) is a program run by the Swiss Institute for Children's and Youth Media. Its goal is to boost immigrant children's reading and writing skills so that they can integrate more easily and enjoy equal opportunities when it comes to education. Donations toward this campaign are being matched.*

“Quality Education India” – investing in better education

The UBS Optimus Foundation and its partners launched the Development Impact Bond “Quality Education India." This innovative and result-oriented social finance tool has the ambitious goal of improving the quality of education for over 300,000 school children in India.

"Teaching at the Right Level" – innovative teaching in Africa

“Teaching at the Right Level” is a new teaching method that was developed for children in disadvantaged regions. Children are separated into classes based on their knowledge rather than their age and taught reading and numeracy skills. In recognition of their groundbreaking approach, Esther Duflo and Abhijit Banerjee, the co-founders of our partner organization have been recognized with the 2019 Nobel prize in economics. Donations toward this campaign are being matched by the Jacobs Foundation.*
