COVID-19 Recovery Fund 2021

Your opportunity to directly help end the global pandemic

It comes as no surprise that the Merriam-Webster Dictionary Word of the Year for 2020 was Pandemic and that one of the most overused words of late has been Unprecedented. But the reality remains--a year in, we are still fighting for a return to normalcy.

Governments around the world have begun vaccination efforts for their citizens, some with better success than others. Yet not all countries have equal access to not only vaccines themselves, but the resources and infrastructure needed to manufacture and distribute them. So, we're going to do something about that.

With the COVID-19 Recovery Fund, UBS is opening the possibility for you to have a hand in enabling low- and middle-income economies to have speedier access to vaccines. We've partnered with Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, who are long-time experts in vaccinating the world’s children against deadly and debilitating infectious diseases. Via COVAX, the vaccines pillar of the Access to COVID-19 Tools (ACT) Accelerator, Gavi is leading the global effort to secure a response to COVID-19 that is effective and fair. And we’re helping them.

Through the COVID-19 Recovery Fund, you gain unique access to unlock matchings from both UBS and from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation through the Gavi Matching Fund, more than doubling the impact. Most of the funds raised through this program will be used to procure and deliver vaccines, with the remaining for capacity building and public health education to reduce vaccine hesitancy.
