Our Cultural Awareness Network works to bring employees of all different faith backgrounds together to learn from one another and build a community of appreciation for our differences

ISOC UK:

To increase awareness about Islam, whilst enabling Muslim employees to embrace their identity and role model to others.  The society works closely with ‘Diversity, Equity and Inclusion’ to foster the firms’ existing strong culture of DE&I.  The ISOC engages members through daily prayers at the Multi Faith Room, weekly newsletters, internal cross network events and other social events, including interbank Islamic network competitions.  ISOC would also like to expand further and engage with all faith groups globally.

The Cultural Awareness Network (CAN) provides extensive resources and events to help us be an inclusive environment during periods of religious celebrations. By providing Ramadan, Hannukah, and other toolkits, we are increasing awareness around these celebrations so that our participating employees don’t feel alone or detached during these months and are able to talk about this part of their lives with their colleagues.

By hosting events with our senior leaders with differing faiths as speakers, we continue to build ‘psychological safety’ for our employees, demonstrating that your religious identity should never be considered an obstacle to your career.
