The UBS Disruptive Technology CEO Summit, in its 6th year, proved to be an extraordinary journey of exploration. More than 5,180 global investors and business leaders participated over the three days of the Summit, during which 24 distinguished speakers gave detailed insights into their plans to disrupt the corporate and financial status quo.

The summit’s theme this year was “Changing the Game”. Our second ‘Changing the Game’ event aired on November 12th, 2020. During this event we heard about two very different industries – Sports and Wellness. Our speakers discussed how innovation is transforming their industries and is Changing the Game for years to come!

To kick off the event, we heard about how the sports industry is leveraging technology to become more digital. Our panel of experts discussed how their companies are adapting to change and how technology is enabling them to deliver highly engaging customer experiences.

Afterwards, we heard about how disruption is changing the way we approach wellness. It was very exciting to have an expert in the field who shared his insights on the potential Psychedelics have as both a frontier for knowledge and medical treatment.

J.M.R. LUNA is an award-winning Director / Producer and a member of the Producer's Guild of America (PGA).

Originally hailing from Madrid, Spain, J.M.R. was educated at some of the most prestigious film institutions in Europe. He graduated with honors from the University of Madrid, was awarded an Erasmus scholarship for graduate school in Denmark, and earned his Masters in Los Angeles where he developed his career working in Hollywood.

J.M.R. LUNA’s prolific filmmaker career has taken him around the world, where he has done more than 25 commercial and short content campaigns, and 8 Feature Films including one with MGM and three with Netflix.

In January 2017, J.M.R. LUNA started working in Esports. First as the Head of Content for Evil Geniuses, and then as the VP of Content and Production for Immortals Gamers Club (MIBR, LA Valiant, Immortals).

In May 2020, be was named CEO for OG Esports and has since relocated to Europe.

Hua Fung Teh

Group President of One Championship

Hua Fung Teh is the Group President of ONE Championship. Together with Chairman/CEO Chatri Sityodtong, Teh leads the company's management team with a focus on group strategy, international expansion, global strategic partnerships and capital markets. He also served for a year as the company’s Chief Financial Officer.

Prior to ONE, Teh was a Principal at global private equity firm TPG Capital (TPG). As a senior member of the Southeast Asia investment team, he was responsible for the origination, execution and portfolio management of growth and late-stage investment deals in Southeast Asia. He also served on TPG’s China and US teams prior. Before TPG, Teh was an aviator with the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) and held leadership positions both at the RSAF and at Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry, where he served as the ministry’s Formula One (F1) Project Team Leader. In this role he helped secure the F1 Grand Prix hosting rights for Singapore and coordinated efforts between government agencies and private sector parties to execute the first night race in F1 history in 2008.

Teh holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an MEng and BS in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he was a member of the men’s varsity basketball team. A Taekwondo black-belt holder, he also sits on the Global Steering Committee of the Milken Institute Young Leaders Circle and is a member of The Forum of Young Global Leaders at the World Economic Forum.

William A. Richards

Ph.D. John Hopkins Center for Psychedelic and Consciousness Research

William A. Richards (Bill) is a psychologist in the Center for Psychedelic and Consciousness Research at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he and his colleagues have been conducting research with psilocybin for the past two decades. He is also a clinician in private practice in Baltimore, a professor at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, and a consultant with research organizations that are committed to the exploration of human consciousness. His graduate degrees include M.Div. from Yale Divinity School, S.T.M. from Andover-Newton Theological School and Ph.D. from Catholic University, as well as studies with Abraham Maslow at Brandeis University and with Hanscarl Leuner at Georg-August University in Göttingen, Germany, where his involvement with psilocybin research originated in 1963. From 1967 to 1977, he implemented studies of psychotherapy research with LSD, DPT, MDA and psilocybin at the Maryland Psychiatric Research Center, including protocols designed to investigate the promise of psychedelic molecules in the treatment of alcoholism, depression, narcotic addiction and the psychological distress associated with terminal cancer, and also their use in the training of religious and mental-health professionals. From 1977-1981, he was a member of the psychology faculty of Antioch University in Maryland. His publications began in 1966 with “Implications of LSD and Experimental Mysticism,” coauthored with Walter Pahnke. His book, Sacred Knowledge: Psychedelics and Religious Experiences has been released by Columbia University Press.

The Investment Research industry is changing rapidly as regulatory and technological change challenge legacy business models. UBS Global Research is committed to developing new products, platforms and partnerships that leverage our market-leading differentiated content. Damien leads this global effort from Hong Kong.

Prior to taking on this role in 2020, Damien led our Asia Pacific Investment Research team for almost a decade. UBS has consistently had one of the largest commitments to research in the region and the team was #1 ranked (in aggregate) in the Asia Pacific Institutional Investor surveys from 2016 through 2019.

Prior to taking on the APAC role, Damien was Head of Japan Research and led the team to top 3 rankings in various investor surveys. He moved to Asia in 2005 and was initially Head of our #1 ranked Asian Transport Research team. He was also the global coordinator for the sector.

Damien joined UBS in London in 2002. His experience in investment research stretches back almost 30 years. He started his career in Australia, where he covered the local transport sector for ABN AMRO and BT Alex Brown. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (finance and accounting) from the University of New England (Australia) and completed the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at Harvard Business School in 2017.

Amy Lo is Co-Head of Wealth Management Asia Pacific, Head and Chief Executive of UBS Hong Kong, and a Group Managing Director at UBS. Amy has over 30 years of experience in the banking industry. Since joining UBS in 1995, she has held a number of senior management positions including Regional Head of Ultra High Net Worth in Asia. Today, the ultra-high net worth business is the leading wealth manager for ultra-high net worth individuals in the region.

Actively involved in the development of the private banking industry in Hong Kong, Amy chairs the Executive Committee of the Hong Kong Private Wealth Management Association (PWMA), is a member of the Banking Industry Training Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong Education Bureau, and a member of the Exchange Fund Advisory Committee Financial Infrastructure Sub-Committee of Hong Kong Monetary Authority.

A passionate supporter of youth education and technological innovation in Greater China, Amy is a member of The Court and the MBA Advisory Board at The University of Hong Kong, a member of the Advisory Committee of the Department of Social Work at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and an Advisor of the Industrial Consulting Committee at the HongKong X, a tech start-up platform aim at promotion of innovations among young entrepreneurs. She is also a Board Member of the UBS Optimus Foundation, the independent grant-making foundation that helps UBS clients improve the education and welfare of children globally.

Amy received the Executive Award at the DHL/SCMP Business Awards 2018 for her efforts in promoting the growth and development of the wealth management industry, and for her drive in building UBS as a corporate citizen in Hong Kong. She was also named by a top-tier Chinese media, China Business News, as one of the "Hong Kong Top 20 in the next 20 years" for her contribution to innovation developments in 2017.

David Chin is Head of Investment Bank, Asia Pacific and China Country Head for UBS, based in Hong Kong. Between 2009 and 2015, he was Head of Investment Banking Division, Asia for UBS. Under his leadership, UBS was consistently ranked top in Asian investment banking league tables and won numerous awards.

Prior to 2009, David had held various senior positions including Head of Financial Institutions Group and Head of Mergers & Acquisitions in UBS Asia. In 2008, UBS was awarded Best FIG House in Asia by both FinanceAsia and The Asset.

He played an active role in business development for UBS, particularly in Hong Kong and China, including the development of offshore Renminbi equities and bond products since 2011; the formation of UBS Securities in China in 2007; and UBS's US$500m investment in Bank of China in 2005.

David led a wide range of capital market and M&A transactions for major clients in Asia, such as Bank of China, China Merchants Bank, China Pacific Insurance, Haitong Securities, Cinda Asset Management, and HKEx.

Between 2016 and 2019, he was a Non-executive director of Postal Savings of China. During the academic year 2015-16, he was a Visiting Bye Fellow at Selwyn College, Cambridge University, England.

David joined SG Warburg, a predecessor firm of UBS, in London in 1994, and moved to Hong Kong in 1996. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse in London in 1993. He has a MA degree in Economics from Selwyn College, Cambridge University, England.

Aki Yuki

Co-Founder, Ory Laboratory

Having studied hydrodynamics in her high school days she also got awarded the YKK Special Award administered by the Ministry of Educations, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in the 2006 High School Science and Tech Challenge (JSEC).

Having won this award she got the honor of representing Japan in the international competition, Intel International Student Science and Technology Fair (ISEF), but due to a long-term hospitalization after falling ill from tuberculosis just before the competition she was not able to participate.

She re-entered the same competition the following year and got the Grand Award of Excellence Award. In 2007 she took part in the ISEF again, although this time as a student observer. After entering the International Christian University College of Liberal Arts, she won the Bronze Medal at the Asia Science Camp of 2009 created by Nobel laureates. In 2011, although she was studying abroad in London, together with Kentarou Yoshifuji, she took part and won the Waseda Monozukuri Grand Prize, the Student Entrepreneur Championships, the Campus Venture Grand Prix and the likes with the concept of OriHime.

Graduate of the International Christian University (ICU) College of Liberal Arts, the University College London (UCL) as an exchange student majoring in Innovation Management.

Anne O’Riordan

Group Director of Digital, Jardine Matheson

Anne O’Riordan was appointed Group Director of Digital of Jardine Matheson Limited in June 2019. She is responsible for providing oversight of and further developing the Group’s digital and innovation strategy and agenda.

Before joining the Group, Ms O’Riordan was a senior managing director in Accenture where she worked for 28 years. In this period, she worked across the US, Europe and Asia with global companies transforming their business and operating models to meet changing market and portfolio needs.

She is a member of The Women’s Foundation, the 30% Club and the board liaison with the Women of Influence Committee at the American Chamber of Commerce. She holds the role of the treasurer of the American Chamber in Hong Kong and is an independent non-executive director on the board of Jazz Pharmaceuticals – a global healthcare company founded in Palo Alto.

Ms O’Riordan has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biotechnology from Dublin City University and a Postgraduate Degree in Financial Accounting and Management Information Systems from the National University of Ireland, Galway. She also is a graduate of Women’s Directorship Programme from the University of Hong Kong and Stanford University Directorship Program.

She is married with two sons.

Prof. Dean Ho

Provost’s Chair Professor & Creator, CURATE.AI, National University of Singapore

Prof. Dean Ho is Provost’s Chair Professor, Director of The N.1 Institute for Health (N.1), Director of the Institute for Digital Medicine (WisDM), and Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the National University of Singapore.

Using his CURATE.AI platform, Prof. Ho has led multiple pioneering clinical studies that have validated the promise of N-of-1 medicine, where only a patient’s own data is used to personalise their treatment for the entire duration of care.

Multiple CURATE.AI-based clinical studies are ongoing or cleared for start in the areas of solid cancer and blood cancer therapy, digital therapeutics/personalised learning, and post-organ transplant immunosuppression, among others.

Prof. Ho is an elected member of the US National Academy of Inventors (NAI). Election to the NAI is the highest professional honor for academic inventors. He is also a Fellow of the American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) and Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening, as well as a Fulbright Scholar.

He is also a recipient of the NSF CAREER Award, Wallace H. Coulter Foundation Translational Research Award, and V Foundation for Cancer Research Scholar Award, among others. Prof. Ho was recently named to the Asia Tatler Gen.T List, which honours young leaders who are shaping the future of the region. Prof. Ho has appeared on the National Geographic Channel Program “Known Universe” to discuss his discoveries in drug delivery and imaging. His discoveries have been featured on CNN, The Economist, Forbes, Washington Post, NPR and other international news outlets. He has served as the President of the Board of Directors of the Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening (SLAS), a 26,000+ member global drug development organization comprised of senior executives from the pharmaceutical and medical device sectors, as well as academic thought leaders.

Kazuhide Sekiyama, born in Tokyo in 1983, serves as Director and Representative Executive Officer of Spiber Inc. He co-founded the company in 2007 while studying Bioinformatics at Keio University.

As part of its mission to help build a sustainable society, Spiber is engaged in the development and industrialisation of Brewed Protein™, structural protein materials produced from plant-derived feedstocks through a microbial fermentation process.

Kent Ho

General Partner & Founder, s28 Capital

Kent Ho is the Founder and General Partner of s28 Capital - a San Francisco-based venture capital fund with US$170 million under management. The fund focuses on early stage technology companies with a strong emphasis on leveraging data to disrupt and transform traditional industries.

Some of his previous investments include: Palantir, Coupang, Evernote, Plangrid, and Zoom

Kent is also an Executive Director of Sing Tao News Corporation, which maintains the highest circulation newspaper in Hong Kong as well as a presence in 4 continents.

Kent earned his M.B.A from Stanford Graduate School of Business and his B.A. from Duke University. He is an Honorary Trustee from Peking University. He also sits on multiple boards including Hong Kong Trade Development Council’s Innovation & Technology Advisory Committee, and is an independent non-executive director of Hong Kong listed Grace Wine Holdings Limited.

Kent was selected for the Young Global Leaders by World Economic Forum in 2018.

Kristine Li

Acting General Manager, Portfolio Leasing, Henderson Land Development

Kristine Li is the Acting General Manager of Portfolio Leasing Department at Henderson Land Development.

She oversees the Group’s investment properties in Hong Kong, an overall portfolio of over 9 million square feet comprising mostly of retail and commercial and leads the launch of the group’s new “H Commerce” series of thematic commercial developments, including that of H Queen’s, the first vertical, purpose-built gallery building in Hong Kong; H Code, for leisure and lifestyle, and H Zentre for premium medical and wellness.

Li holds a Master of Science in Real Estate from The University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University, USA. Prior to joining Henderson Land, Li worked in the investment banking industry. She currently serves on the executive committee Urban Land Institute, and is a member of The Y.Elites Association, Hong Kong Pei Hua Education Foundation, and Union Hospital Charity Program Ltd.

Li is also the founder of HART, a not-for-profit art initiative under Henderson Land. HART has the mission to foster collaboration and community value through a sustainable culture of creativity and programming, including the operation of HART Haus, a studio incubator for local-based creative talents, as well as HART Foundation, which runs community-based arts education and outreach for the under-resourced in Hong Kong.


Dr. Lizhong Dai

Chairman, Sansure Biotech

Dai Lizhong, graduated from Peking University. He received his doctor degree from Princeton University and completed his postdoctoral fellowship at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Dr. Dai is the deputy to National People's Congress, the Chinese in vitro diagnostic leader, the vice president of Hunan federation of commerce and industry, the Chairman of Sansure Biotech Inc. In the early 20th century, the prevention and treatment of infectious disease, cancer and other major diseases in China was using backward diagnosis technology.

The high-tech diagnostic industry was monopolized by foreign companies. In order to create Chinese-own advanced technologies, Dai Lizhong resolutely give up cosy life in USA and returned to Changsha to start Sansure biotech in 2008. He led Sansure’s research team to develop a series of international creative and leading technologies, applied in disease precise prevention, diagnostics and treatment. He received more than 20 national key innovation awards, such as the second prize of national science and technology progress, National Innovation Competition Award, National Outstanding Innovation. The research team has developed more than 300 kinds of leading diagnostic and screening products for infectious disease and cancer prevention and control, maternal and child health care, nucleic acid blood screening, Outbreak prevention and control, and chronic disease management. These techniques and products fill the blank areas of domestic diagnostic industry, and promote the development of Chinese gene technology to catch up with the international advanced level. The goal is to make the complicated and expensive gene detection products become affordable and easy to use. At present, Sansure biotech has become the leading brand of Chinese molecular diagnostic industry, and is the first batch of national gene detection technology demonstration centers, National and Local Joint Engineering Research Center for Infectious Diseases and Cancer Gene Diagnosis Technology, National Intellectual Property Demonstration Enterprise.

Especially in the 2020 COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control work, Dr. Dai led the team to develop a precise, fast, simple and high-throughput novel coronavirus nucleic acid diagnostic kit. This kit has obtained more than 20 international authoritative certifications such as EU CE certification, US FDA emergency use authorization, Brazilian ANVISA registration certificate, etc., serving nearly 140 countries and regions around the world for epidemic prevention and control. The "Sansure Solution" has become the leader in COVID-19 nucleic acid testing in many countries around the world, greatly improve the nucleic acid detection capacity and detection efficiency of the epidemic.

Anne Boden

CEO & Founder, Starling Bank

Anne Boden is founder and CEO of Starling Bank, a fast-growing UK digital bank targeting millions of users who live their lives on their phones. After a distinguished career working in senior leadership at some of the world’s best-known financial heavyweights, among them Allied Irish Banks, Royal Bank of Scotland and ABN AMRO, she set out to build her own bank from scratch in 2014.

Starling was voted Best British Bank for the past three years and has opened more than 1.5 million accounts, including more than 200,000 accounts for small business owners. Anne is a board member of UK Finance and was awarded an MBE for services to financial technology in 2018.

Erez Galonska

CEO & Founder, Infarm

A self-educated farmer, entrepreneur, and inventor, Erez is founder and CEO of Infarm, the world’s fastest growing farming network.
Erez spent more than a decade exploring techniques for local, sustainable agriculture in farming communities in his native Israel, Germany and the Canary Islands.

This personal journey to become self-sufficient led him to found Infarm in 2013. Today the Infarm network produces 500,000 plants a month across Asia, Europe and North America. 

Under Erez’s leadership and in collaboration with co-founders, Osnat Michaeli and Guy Galonska, Infarm has recruited an industry-leading team and developed cutting-edge R&D to help cities become self-sufficient in their food production, while significantly improving the safety, quality, and environmental footprint of food. 

In service of this vision, to date, Infarm has raised more than $100 million in funding from world leading investors.

Erez has been recognized for his forward-looking vision in multiple fora, including: Innovation Weekend Tokyo - First Prize, Vision Award Germany - First Prize as well as selection by the European Commission as one of Europe’s top innovators in the fields of agriculture and technology. In 2017 and again in 2019 Infarm became the first hydroponic farming company to receive GlobalG.A.P (Global Good Agricultural Practices) certification, one of the world’s most recognised standards for safe and sustainable food production.

Prof. Mark Post

Co-Founder, Mosa Meat

Professor Mark Post is an MD, PhD and chair of the Physiology Department at Maastricht University. His main research interest is the engineering of tissues for medical applications and for food, which has led to the development of cultured beef from bovine skeletal muscle stem cells in an effort to supplement and transform the traditional meat production through livestock.

In August 2013, he presented the world’s first hamburger from cultured beef. He is CSO and co-founder of two companies, Mosa Meat and Qorium that will commercialize cultured meat and cultured leather.


Matteo Berlucchi

Co-Founder, Your.MD

Matteo Berlucchi is Your.MD’s co-founder and a serial entrepreneur who has developed a knack for being first to deliver digital innovation in new consumer sectors. Prior to co-founding Your.MD he was the founder and CEO of aNobii, the world’s first ‘social ebook’ platform sold to Sainsbury’s.

Matteo launched the first internet property website in the world, pioneered live streaming on mobile phones with Livestation and partnered with Microsoft to redefine push notifications globally with Skinkers. As a theoretical physicist, he brings scientific rigour to Your.MD’s work, as well as Italian flair.

Nicholas Warner

COO, SentinelOne

Nicholas Warner has over 20 years of experience in the IT and Cybersecurity field, with the last 5 years focused exclusively on advanced threat prevention. As the Chief Operating Officer for SentinelOne, he leverages his years of experience in security architecture and strategy to recommend transformative solutions that combat emerging risks facing enterprises today.

Prior to SentinelOne, Nicholas was the Chief Revenue Officer at Cylance where he increased bookings by over 300 percent year-over-year and customer base to more than 2,000 deployments and 370 percent year-over-year. Nicholas has also held senior leadership roles at Intel Security and Websense, leading a worldwide team that has experienced a 7000%+ growth during his tenure.

Nils Wollny

CEO & Co-Founder, holoride

Nils has extensive experience in strategy, digital business and innovation. He worked as the managing director at one of Europe’s leading digital agencies before he joined Audi as Head of Digital Business. In this role, he was responsible for digital services and platforms.

Nils is passionate about mobility and media and was named as one of the “40 under 40” high-potential managers by the renowned German automotive publication Automobilwoche in 2018.

That same year Nils co-founded holoride – a spin-out from Audi focusing on the next generation of in-car entertainment.

Since February 2019 Nils serves as the CEO of holoride which has been named 4x “Best of CES 2019” and acknowledged by TIME Magazine as one of “The 100 Best Inventions of 2019”.


Shmuel Chafets

General Partner & Vice Chairman, Target Global

Prior to joining Target Global, Shmuel was a partner at the Berlin based Hasso Plattner Ventures where he invested in companies such as iZettle and Hansoft and served as a board member in DreamLines and reBuy. Before that Shmuel was a partner at Giza Venture Capital in Tel Aviv where he invested in companies such as Soluto (sold to Asurion), Vishal.ly and other early stage internet ventures.

Together with Giza, Shmuel founded GPV, a pioneering Warsaw based venture fund where he also led virus internet and software investment. Shmuel was also co-founder of LocaLoco (sold to Say Media Group) a social gaming startup targeting emerging markets.

Shmuel started his career as strategic consultant to GCS and a consultant for several members of the Israeli parliament and government.

Allen Lau

Allen Lau is the CEO and co-founder of Wattpad, the global multiplatform entertainment company, where he leads the company’s vision to entertain and connect the world through stories.

A leader in Canada’s technology sector and startup ecosystem, Allen is a member of the Canadian Council of Innovators, a lobby group that advances the interests of Canadian technology companies at all levels of government. He is also the co-founder of Two Small Fish Ventures, a fund that invests in Toronto and Waterloo-based early stage internet companies with strong network effects.

Prior to Wattpad, Allen co-founded FeedM8, a mobile advertising company that was later acquired. He also previously co-founded Tira Wireless, where he helped leading brands optimize content for mobile delivery.

Allen received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Toronto’s Electrical Engineering program.

Ara Katz is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Seed Health, a microbial sciences company pioneering the application of bacteria to impact human and planetary health.

She has worked at the intersection of technology, consumer, design, and media, and is now working with leading scientists and innovators to steward a new global standard in probiotics.

Ara previously co-founded and served as CMO of mobile commerce marketplace, Spring (backed by LVMH, sold to ShopRunner), and was on the founding team of social commerce company, BeachMint (sold to Conde Nast), where she launched six direct-to-consumer, influencer subscription brands. She is an angel investor and advisor in companies such as mindbodygreen, Stadium Goods (recently sold to FarFetch), RXDefine, women’s healthcare startup, Mahmee, and new biomaterials company, C16.

As a member of the World Economic Forum, David co-chaired the Young Global Leaders Circular Economy Taskforce and is a member of the Global IoT Council. Enrico Mattoli

Enrico Mattoli has worked for UBS for in excess of 20 years, starting in the graduate program in London before working in London, New York, Milan and most recently in Hong Kong where he is Head Direct Investment Group Asia Pacific.

Between 2016 and 2020, Mattoli was Head of the Global Family Office, Greater China with responsibility for providing clients with a full range of WM/IB/AM services encompassing both their family and business needs. During his tenure, Asian Private Banker named UBS Wealth Management Best Bank for Family Office Services for three years in a row.

Between 2009 and 2015, Mattoli was Asia Pacific Head for Investment Products and Services for the UHNW segment where, levering on the integrated bank platform, his team provided client solutions across asset classes. In this role he worked closely with client advisors to provide UHNW clients with access to the institutional-type products and services available from UBS's investment banking and asset management businesses.

Mattoli came to Asia in 2005 as Head of Active Advisory, Asia, a specialist team providing customised non-discretionary portfolio management services and advice on strategic and tactical asset allocation.

In Milan, he was responsible for the Investment Consulting Business Development for Italian domestic clients. In New York he was front-line investment advisor in Active Advisory

Mattoli holds an LLB from Kings College London, University of London, an MBA from Ivey Business School at Western University, Canada and a Masters in Real Estate from University College of Estate Management.

Hunter Jamieson

Isabelle Toledano

Louis Shan

Louis Shan joined UBS in 2005 and is currently the Managing Director at UBS Wealth Management as client advisor covering ultra high net worth and Global Family Office (GFO) clients in Hong Kong/China region.

Louis has over 15 years of experiences in equity research, financial analysis and advisory businesses. Prior to joining UBS, Louis is the equity strategist focusing on HK/China market in both Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley in 2003-2005 and 2000-2002, respectively.

Louis graduated from University of Michigan Business School with Bachelor of Business Administration degree majoring in finance and accounting.

Seow Ann Gan

Executive Vice Chairman,

Gan Seow Ann is currently the Executive Vice Chairman, Global Wealth Management, UBS AG. He joined as Vice Chairman, Southeast Asia and Asia Pacific in 2013 and was appointed Divisional Vice Chairman in February 2016.

He is concurrently a member of the Singapore Management Committee which oversees business strategy, risk management and governance for UBS Singapore Branch.

Mr Gan advises UBS' key clients and business owners on a global basis, drawing on his deep understanding of international capital markets and strong track record in leading businesses. Additionally, he advises and supports UBS senior leadership on a broad range of key business activities. 

Prior to joining UBS AG, he was President of Singapore Exchange Limited (SGX), where he had a distinguished career, responsible for developing and growing the community of participants for the stock and derivatives exchanges. He was concurrently the Chief Executive of the two operating exchanges. He also led the drive to establish Singapore as the premier listings venue for IPOs and debt capital raising.

Mr Gan held several senior appointments in the capital markets over the past 3 decades. This included Merrill Lynch where he was Managing Director responsible for South East Asia equities market, and Head of Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia for Crosby Securities (which became SocGen Securities).
In addition, Mr Gan has served as director in a statutory board, several business entities and charitable organisations as well as co-opted member of public service committees.

Mr Gan holds a Master of Business Administration from McMaster University, Canada, and a BA in Economics (Distinction) from Wilfrid Laurier University.
