Armin Guhl appointed as new Head of UBS Corporate Communications Switzerland

Zurich/Basel 28 October 2013 – UBS today announced the appointment of Armin Guhl as its new Head of Corporate Communications Switzerland, effective 1 January 2014. Armin will be based in Zurich and will report to Lukas Gähwiler, CEO UBS Switzerland and Hubertus Kuelps, UBS Group Head of Communications & Branding. Armin is currently the Head of External Communications at Commerzbank in Frankfurt.

Armin started his career in the financial industry at UBS in 1994 as a country risk analyst for the Middle East and Africa. For the last seven years, he was responsible for successfully shaping Commerzbank’s external communications and media relations in very turbulent times. Before joining Commerzbank, Armin worked at Zurich Financial Services and Allianz. Prior to this, he spent five years as a journalist and correspondent with Die Weltwoche, a leading Swiss weekly newspaper. Armin holds a doctoral degree from the University of St. Gallen.
