Italy's new government will stick to the fiscal rules, and market pressure has strengthened the hand of Finance Minister Tria, says Stefano Micossi, Director General of ASSONIME, a business association and think tank in Rome. Micossi was formerly a Director General in the European Commission, head of economic research of Confindustria, and an economist at the Bank of Italy. He also co-founded the LUISS School of European Political Economy and chairs its Scientific Council.
