Purpose for data collection

UBS collects and uses personal data Information for the purpose of recruiting Candidates for jobs at UBS ("Purpose"). For purposes of this privacy notice, the term “Information” is any personal data, information or collection of information in any form, whether electronic or written, that is capable of being associated with a Candidate through one or more identifiers, including, but not limited to, a Social Security or National Identification number, a driver’s license number, a state identification card number a passport number, an alien registration number, or a health insurance identification number. UBS relies on its legitimate interest in this Purpose as the legal basis for processing personal data collected through the UBS On-Demand Workers Talent Community.

The personal data you provide to the UBS On-Demand Workers Talent Community will be processed by UBS and its supplier of contingent workforce in connection with the Purpose. Processing of your Information by UBS or a third party may include access, not limited to: background checks and hiring processes; placement, promotion, transfer, compensation and benefits; performance reviews, training and policy adherence affirmation to support your relationship with the third party. Personal data may be hosted and stored, accessed or disclosed within the UBS Group or to other third parties globally, including outsourced service providers or UBS service centers based around the world, in order for UBS to carry out the employment-related Purposes, where there is a legitimate or necessary business reason to do so or as required by law or regulation or by a regulatory authority.

By submitting your Information in the UBS On-Demand Workers Talent Pool, you acknowledge that in some locations, the Information you submit may not be subject to the same legal protection as is mandated in your home country and that the laws regarding privacy, data protection, and confidentiality of personal data may not be accorded the same protection as in your home country. UBS will, however, treat your Information in accordance with its Privacy Notice anywhere in the world that it is received. Access and retention of information

We will only retain Information you provide to the UBS On-Demand Workers Talent Community for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected or to comply with legal, regulatory requirements. In general, although there may be limited exceptions, data relating to unsuccessful Candidates for roles within UBS is kept for 36 months after the date on which we notify you that your most recent application has been unsuccessful; data relating to potential Candidates for roles within UBS is kept for 36 months from the date of our last communication with you; and data relating to successful Candidates is dealt with by the vendor employee privacy notice that will be provided to you during onboarding to UBS.

In some circumstances you may have the right to object to our processing of your Information (and any other rights granted) under applicable data protection / privacy laws. Access and retention of information

Your Personal Information may be retained and accessible in the system for the purposes mentioned for up to 36 months from the date your profile is created or was last modified, whichever is later. Upon the expiration of such period, UBS will take steps to destroy, erase, or make unreadable any Personal Information maintained in any form, including, but not limited to, Personal Information contained in computer or other electronic files or documents, prior to disposing of such Personal Information.
