Blocking a card or ordering a replacement card

 

What should I do if my credit card or prepaid card is lost, stolen or stops working? 

If your UBS Credit Card or Prepaid Card is lost or stolen, you should have it blocked as soon as possible in the UBS Mobile Banking app , via UBS e-banking or by calling our customer service team.


Blocking a card via mobile banking

1. First, enter your access details to open the app. Then, open the menu and select «Service > Credit cards and prepaid cards > Block card».

2. You can now select your card and block it. You will automatically be sent a replacement card once the block is in effect.

3. You can proceed to the confirmation screen by selecting «Next».
 

4. Once you have selected «Block card», the card is blocked and can no longer be unblocked.


Blocking a card via e-banking

You can also block a card in UBS e-banking.

  1. Select «Cards > Service > Block card»
  2. Then select «Block card now»

3. Select the card you would like to block, check the instruction one last time and select «Submit».

If your card is not working, you can order a replacement card in the mobile banking app and in e-banking.

Replacement card via mobile banking

1. Select «Service > Credit cards and prepaid cards > Order replacement card».

2. Select «Replace card».

3. Select the card you would like to replace and select «Submit».

Replacement card via e-banking

1. Select «Cards > Service > Order replacement card»

2. Select «Continue without blocking a card».

3. Select the card you would like to replace and select «Submit».


You can of course arrange for your cards to be blocked and replaced on the telephone. There are different customer service teams available depending on the type of card:

Note for corporate clients

It is not possible to block a company credit card or order a corresponding replacement card in the mobile banking app or in e-banking. You can arrange for your cards to be blocked and replaced by calling +41 44 828 37 37.
