About the “Women’s Perspectives 2026” Study

Rising fixed costs, busy daily routines, and long-term questions about the future all influence financial decisions. “Women’s Perspectives 2026 – a study by the UBS Worry Barometer” was conducted in collaboration with gfs.bern to explore these connections in depth.

The study reveals how women in Switzerland perceive financial security, the challenges they face in everyday life, and why their financial decisions are often driven more by stability and protection than by the pursuit of returns.

“Women’s Perspectives 2026” paints a nuanced picture of women’s financial outlooks in Switzerland - rooted in daily life and the realities many women experience.

A total of 2,037 people aged 16 and over from across Switzerland took part in the study, including 1,014 women.

The study highlights where women in Switzerland see the greatest need for action. It becomes clear how closely financial issues are linked to health, cost of living, and a sense of personal security.

Healthcare costs are especially prominent: 46% count them among the most urgent problems. Rising housing costs, migration, and environmental issues also shape the overall mood.

Financial strain is rarely experienced in isolation. Work, family, organizational responsibilities, and daily stress often overlap and influence how women make financial decisions.
