Paula is the Global Client Strategy Officer and a Group Managing Director at UBS Global Wealth Management (GWM).
In her role, Paula focuses on deepening our understanding of clients and the marketplace, and delivering resources to grow our businesses globally. She is a passionate client advocate and keeps the client at the center of all she does. Her team regularly gathers insights, conducts surveys to measure client satisfaction and concerns, and uses market intelligence to help Advisors serve clients better.
Across the globe, Paula is responsible for client analytics; client research and insights; pricing; strategic marketing; client segments (women, business owners, wealth inheritors, employees/advisors); solutions marketing; editorial and content; and client and advisor communications.
Previously, Paula served as Senior VP and Head of Strategic Marketing and Brand Management at Merrill Lynch, and was a member of the Global Wealth Management Executive Committee. Before Merrill Lynch, Paula served as Executive VP of Corporate and Retail Marketing at Fidelity Investments. Prior to Fidelity, she held various positions at advertising agency Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos, Inc. Paula spent the first 10 years of her career as a journalist, working as a Producer, News Editor and Managing Editor for WBZ TV in Boston.
Paula served an 8-year term on the Board of Boston College, her alma mater, where she remains a Trustee Associate. Paula also sits on the board of Harvard Medical School's Division of Women’s Health at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. In addition, she is a member of the Executive Board of the Wall Street Council, a network of financial professionals who support academic scholarships.
For the past three years, Paula has been named one of the "25 Most Powerful Women in Finance" by American Banker. She has received Business Marketing Association's Communicator of the Year award and was named among the “Top 100 Marketers” by Advertising Age. Paula is a sought after speaker and has presented at many industry conferences, including Barron's Top Women Financial Advisors conference, Barron's Institutional Consulting Summit and the KPMG Women's Leadership Summit.
