Ulrike Hoffmann-Burchardi
Chief Investment Officer Americas, Global Head of Equities, UBS Global Wealth Management
Ulrike Hoffmann-Burchardi is the Chief Investment Officer of the Americas and Global Head of Equities at the UBS Chief Investment Office. She is a member of the Global Investment Committee, which defines the UBS Investment House View, guiding USD 6.9 trillion in assets for UBS Global Wealth Management. Before joining UBS, Ulrike was a Partner and Senior Portfolio Manager at Tudor Investment Corporation, overseeing Tudor’s global equity portfolio inside its flagship client strategy fund.
Ulrike was recognized multiple years in a row as one of the "100 Most Influential Women in US Finance" by Barron's magazine. She is the recipient of the 2023 Women's Investment Leadership Award presented by the Managed Futures Association (MFA). Ulrike serves on the board of 100 Women in Finance, a global 15,000-member not-for-profit organization to empower women in the finance and alternative investment industries. An advocate for STEM education in grades K-12, she serves on the board of NYC FIRST, a global youth-serving robotics community. Ulrike is a Fellow of the 2021 class of the Finance Leaders Fellowship and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
She holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science, and a Master's degree in Finance from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland.

Michael Ryan, CFA
Vice Chairman, UBS Global Wealth Management
Mike is a Vice Chairman for UBS Global Wealth Management and a member of the WM USA Management Committee. In his role as vice chairman, Mike focuses on engaging with UBS clients to help deepen their understanding of the macroeconomic, social, geopolitical and policy trends and how they impact both the short- and long-term investment outlook. On September 2021, Mike was named Head, UBS Sustainability and Impact Institute, UBS AG. Mike is also the Chairman of UBS Americas Inc. Political Action Committee and the Executive Committee Sponsor for the UBS Veterans Network.
Previously, Mike led over 50 US-based research professionals as Chief Investment Officer Americas for UBS Global Wealth Management and served on the Global Investment Committee, which is responsible for formulating the UBS Global Wealth Management Investment House View. With more than 40 years of experience in the financial industry, he is widely recognized as a leading market expert.
Mike is a Chartered Financial Analyst® and a member of the CFA Institute (formerly the Association for Investment Management Research), the Fixed Income Analysts Society Inc. (FIASI), and the New York Society of Security Analysts (NYSSA).
He holds an MBA in finance from the University of Rochester’s Simon Business School, an MA in International Relations from American University’s School of International Service and a BA in political science/economics from the University of Rochester.
Mike serves on the Advisory Board for the Northwell Health Cancer Institute as well as both the National Council and Executive Advisory Council for the Simon Business School.

Susan Bao
Head of US Core Active Extension Strategies, Portfolio Manager, J.P. Morgan Asset Management
Susan Bao is a Managing Director, Senior Portfolio Manager, and Head of U.S. Equity Active Extension at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, where she leads the Large Cap Leaders, Large Cap Core Plus Active Extension strategies (130/30 and 150/50) and Research Market Neutral. Having joined J.P. Morgan in 1997 and assumed portfolio management responsibilities in 2001, she has been recognized as a U.S. Large Cap Core Money Master of 2016 by Institutional Investor and has consistently been one of the top-rated female portfolio managers in the industry by Morningstar. Earlier in her career, Bao held responsibility for U.S. equity analyst portfolios and served as a member of the Disciplined Equity team. She holds a B.S. from Centenary College and an M.B.A. in Finance from New York University's Stern School of Business, and is a CFA Charter holder. Bao also serves as Vice Chairman and Independent Director on the Board of USA Water Polo.

Jordan Brooks
Principal, Head of the Macro Strategies Group, AQR Capital Management
Jordan Brooks is a Principal at AQR Capital Management, where he is the Co-Head of the Macro Strategies Group. In this role, he leads research and portfolio management teams focused on AQR’s macro, multi-strategy, managed futures and risk parity products. Jordan is also a Lecturer in Management at Yale University and an Adjunct Professor of Finance at New York University. He has published numerous articles on fixed income, global macro, and the intersection of asset pricing and macroeconomics. Prior to joining AQR, Jordan was a teaching fellow in the economics department at New York University, and a dissertation intern in the division of monetary affairs at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors and in the capital markets group at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Jordan earned a B.A. in economics and mathematics from Boston College, and an M.A. and Ph.D., both in economics, from New York University.

Ms. Cantrill is a managing director and the head of public policy for PIMCO. In her role, she analyzes policy and political risk for the firm’s portfolio management group and leads policymaker engagement and policy strategy for the firm. Ms. Cantrill is a regular contributor to Bloomberg and CNBC and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. She sits on PIMCO’s Closed-End Fund board as well as the boards of Covenant House New York and the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA). Prior to joining PIMCO in 2007, she served as an aide in the U.S. House of Representatives, and she began her career in the investment banking division at Morgan Stanley. She has 20 years of investment experience and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an undergraduate degree in economics from Brown University. She is a CFA charterholder.

Kenneth Caplan
Global Co-Chief Investment Officer, Blackstone
Kenneth A. Caplan is the Global Co-Chief Investment Officer of Blackstone. As Co-CIO, he works in conjunction with business unit CIOs and Group Heads to provide additional firm-level investment oversight, primarily across Real Estate and Credit & Insurance (BXCI).
Mr. Caplan previously served as Global Co-Head of Blackstone Real Estate. Blackstone is the largest owner of commercial real estate and an industry leader in opportunistic, core plus and debt investing across North America, Europe and Asia.
Prior to becoming Global Co-Head of Blackstone Real Estate, Mr. Caplan served as Global Chief Investment Officer of Blackstone Real Estate and Head of Real Estate Europe. Since joining the firm in 1997, Mr. Caplan has been involved in over $100 billion of real estate acquisitions and initiatives in the United States, Europe and Asia. These include major acquisitions such as Equity Office Properties, Hilton Hotels, Logicor and GE Real Estate.
Before joining Blackstone, he was at Lazard Freres & Co. in the real estate investment banking group. Mr. Caplan received an AB in Economics from Harvard College, where he graduated magna cum laude, was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and was a John Harvard Scholar. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Prep for Prep.

Steve Chiavarone
Deputy Chief Investment Officer, Equities, Federated Hermes
Steve Chiavarone serves as the deputy chief investment officer helping to oversee all of Federated Hermes’ equity and asset allocation products globally. Steve is also a senior portfolio manager and head of the Multi-Asset group, which manages balanced income, tactical balanced, alternatives, multi-asset solutions and enhanced index strategies. In addition, Steve is responsible for the formulation of Federated Hermes’ views on the economy, financial markets and the firm’s investment positioning strategies as a member of both the Macro Economic Policy and PRISM® Asset Allocation committees.
Steve joined Federated Hermes in 2007 and has more than 20 years of investment experience. Before joining Federated, Steve worked at U.S. Trust/Bank of America in the asset and wealth management division.
Steve is a frequent contributor across the financial media, including Bloomberg’s “Surveillance”; Fox Business Network’s “Mornings with Maria,” “Making Money with Charles Payne” and “Countdown to the Closing Bell”; and CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” “Worldwide Exchange,” “Power Lunch” and “Fast Money.” Steve is also frequently quoted in publications such as AP, Reuters, The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, The New York Times and CNN Money.
Steve earned his bachelor’s degree from Drew University and is a CFA® charterholder.

Barry Gill
Head of Investments, UBS Asset Management
Barry Gill has been Head of Investments since November 2019 and is a member of the UBS Asset Management team. In this role he is responsible for UBS Asset Management’s direct public and private markets capabilities.
He was Head of Active Equities within UBS Asset Management from early 2016 and, before that, joined O’Connor in 2012 as a member of the management group where he ran a concentrated long/short strategy.
Prior to joining O’Connor, Barry was head of the Fundamental Investment Group (Americas) for nearly six years within UBS Investment Bank, investing and trading the firm's principal capital.
Barry moved to the US in 2000 from London to rebuild the long / short principal investing effort within Equities following the creation of O’Connor as a hedge fund business.
In his five years in London at SBC and UBS, he was co-head of Pan-European Sector Trading, a proprietary book, and co-head of European Risk Program Trading for two years, preceded by two years as the head of the French trading book. Barry joined SBC's European derivatives desk as a graduate trainee in 1995.

Matthew McLennan, CFA
Head of Global Value Team and Portfolio Manager, First Eagle Investments
Matthew McLennan is head of the Global Value team and a portfolio manager of the Global Value, Global Equity, International Value, International Equity and US Value strategies. Prior to joining First Eagle in September 2008, Matt worked for Goldman Sachs Asset Management in London, where he served as co-portfolio manager of Global Equity Partners, a group he co-founded in 2003 that ran a focused global equity portfolio for offshore private wealth clients. Earlier in his career, Matt was equity chief investment officer of the investment strategy group for Goldman Sachs’ private client business. He joined Goldman Sachs in Sydney in 1994. Matt started his career in 1991 in Brisbane, Australia, with the Queensland Investment Corporation and was ultimately responsible for the firm’s international equity exposure. He was born in Rabaul, Papua New Guinea, and grew up in Queensland, Australia. He earned a bachelor of commerce with first-class honors and master of international commercial law from the University of Queensland. He was also awarded a doctor of business, honoris causa, by the University of Queensland, and he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Matt is interested in the field of education, and he is a trustee emeritus (and former president of the Board of Trustees) of the Trinity School in New York City. He serves on the Board of Dean’s Advisors of the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and as a board member of the University of Queensland in the United States of America. He is also a board member of the Library of America.

Henry McVey
Partner, Head of Global Macro and Asset Allocation and CIO of KKR‘s Balance Sheet, KKR

Henry H. McVey (New York) joined KKR in 2011 and is Head of the Global Macro and Asset Allocation (GMAA) team. Mr. McVey also serves as Chief Investment Officer for the firm's Balance Sheet and oversees Firmwide Market Risk and Derivatives & Liability Management. As part of his role, he also sits on KKR’s Balance Sheet Committee. Prior to joining KKR, Mr. McVey was a managing director, lead portfolio manager and head of global macro and asset allocation at Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM). Earlier in his career he was a portfolio manager at Fortress Investment Group and chief U.S. investment strategist for Morgan Stanley. While at Morgan Stanley, he was also a member of the asset allocation committee and was the top-ranked asset management and brokerage analyst by Institutional Investor for four consecutive years before becoming the firm's strategist in January 2004. Mr. McVey earned his B.A. from the University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a long-time supporter of the TEAK Fellowship and currently sits on the organization’s Emeritus Board after having served as Co-Head of the Board of Trustees. He also heads GMAA Gives Back within KKR, an organization set up to provide pro-bono macro and asset allocation assistance to small to medium size non-profits. Mr. McVey is a three-term board member of the University of Virginia Investment Management Company, a member of the national advisory board for the Jefferson Scholarship at the University of Virginia, and a former board member at St. Andrew's School in Delaware. In addition, he is a board member of the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, D.C., member of the Pritzker Foundation Investment Committee and serves on the newly formed Bank of England’s Market Participants Group (MPG). Since 2019, Mr. McVey also has served on the Financial Sector Advisory Council for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas (three term member).

Craig Packer
Co-President, Head of Credit, Blue Owl
Craig W. Packer is a Co-President, Head of Credit and a Senior Managing Director of Blue Owl, a publicly traded alternative asset manager. Craig is a member of the firm’s Management Committee and Board of Directors. Craig is also a Co-Founder of Owl Rock Capital Partners, a direct lending platform where he serves as Co-Chief Investment Officer, Chief Executive Officer of the Owl Rock BDCs and a member of the Investment Committees. Prior to founding Owl Rock, Craig was a Partner and Co-Head of Leveraged Finance in the Americas at Goldman Sachs & Co.
Craig is on the Foundation Board of the McIntire School of Commerce, University of Virginia and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Virginia Athletics Foundation. Craig serves as Co-Chair of the Honorary Board of Kids in Crisis, a nonprofit organization that serves children in Connecticut and is the former Treasurer of the Board of Greenwich Academy
Craig earned a B.S. from the University of Virginia and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Rick Rieder
Chief Investment Officer of Global Fixed Income, Head of the Global Allocation Investment Team, BlackRock
Rick Rieder, Senior Managing Director, is BlackRock's Chief Investment Officer of Global Fixed Income and Head of the Global Allocation Investment Team. Responsible for roughly $2.7 trillion in assets, Mr. Rieder is a member of BlackRock’s Global Executive Committee (GEC) and its GEC Investments Sub-Committee. He is also a member of BlackRock's Global Operating Committee, and Chairman of the firm-wide BlackRock Investment Council.
Before joining BlackRock in 2009, Mr. Rieder was President and Chief Executive Officer of R3 Capital Partners. He served as Vice Chairman and member of the Borrowing Committee for the U.S. Treasury and member of the Federal Reserve’s Investment Advisory Committee on Financial Markets.
Mr. Rieder currently serves on the Alphabet/Google Investment Advisory Committee and the UBS Research Advisory Board. He has been awarded the 2023 Outstanding Portfolio Manager by Morningstar, was nominated for Outstanding Portfolio Manager by Morningstar in 2021, was awarded the Global Unconstrained Fixed Income Manager of the Year for 2015 by Institutional Investor, was nominated for Fixed Income Manager of the Year by Institutional Investor for 2014, and was inducted into the Fixed Income Analysts Society Fixed Income Hall of Fame in 2013. Five of the funds Mr. Rieder manages (Strategic Income Opportunities, Fixed Income Global Opportunities, Total Return, Strategic Global Bond, and Global Allocation) have been awarded Gold Medals by Morningstar.
From 1987 to 2008, Mr. Rieder was with Lehman Brothers, most recently as head of the firm's Global Principal Strategies team, a global proprietary investment platform. He was also global head of the firm's credit businesses, Chairman of the Corporate Bond and Loan Capital Commitment Committee, and a member of the Board of Trustees for the corporate pension fund. Before joining Lehman Brothers, Mr. Rieder was a credit analyst at SunTrust Banks in Atlanta.
Mr. Rieder earned a BBA degree in Finance from Emory University in 1983 and an MBA degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1987. He is a member of the board of Emory University, Emory's Goizueta Business School, and the University's Finance Committee, and is the Vice Chairman of the Investment Committee. Mr. Rieder is founder and chairman of the Goizueta Business School's BBA investment fund and community financial literacy program, Graduation Generation Public School Collaboration in Atlanta.
Mr. Rieder serves as Chairman and President of the Board of Education for North Star Academy's fourteen Charter Schools in Newark, New Jersey. He is on the Board of the BlackRock Foundation, the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation, the Board of Advisors for the Hospital for Special Surgery, and the Board of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Newark and Essex County. Mr. Rieder is a Member of the Ownership Group and Board of Advisors of the Baltimore Orioles. He formerly served on the Board and National Leadership Council of the Communities in Schools Educational Foundation, and Trustee for the US Olympic Foundation. Mr. Rieder was honored at the Choose Success Awards ceremony in Atlanta in 2015 for his dedication to public education in Atlanta through CIS and Graduation Generation.

Martin Romo
Chair, Chief Investment Officer, Capital Group
Martin Romo is chair and chief investment officer of Capital Group. He is also the president of Capital Research Company, Inc., serves on the Capital Group Management Committee and is an equity portfolio manager. Martin has 33 years of investment industry experience, all with Capital Group. Earlier in his career, as an equity investment analyst at Capital, he covered the global chemicals industry, mortgage and consumer financials, and select conglomerate companies. He holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of California, Berkeley. Martin is based in San Francisco.

Torsten Slok
Partner, Chief Economist, Apollo
Torsten Slok is Partner and Chief Economist at Apollo. Prior to joining in 2020, Torsten worked for 15 years on the sell-side, where his team was top-ranked by Institutional Investor in fixed income and equities for ten years. Previously, he worked at the OECD in Paris in the Money and Finance Division and the Structural Policy Analysis Division. Before joining the OECD, Torsten was with the IMF in the division responsible for writing the World Economic Outlook, and the division responsible for China, Hong Kong, and Mongolia. Torsten studied at University of Copenhagen and Princeton University. He frequently appears in the media and has published numerous journal articles and reviews on economics and policy analysis, including in the Journal of International Economics, Journal of International Money and Finance, and The Econometric Journal.
