The Internet is a universally accessible medium. Normal e-mails sent via the Internet are neither confidential nor secure. Recording of virtual events

We may record virtual events such as webinars, including discussions with the participants and provide them to the participants following the event to enable the latter to retrieve the contents again. If required by applicable law, you consent to such recordings by attending the event.

Virtual surveys and voting

At certain events, you may use your personal device (such as a smartphone) to participate in online voting and/or online surveys. Please note that such surveys are conducted via an external service provider (“service provider”). Your personal data (such as IP address) are transmitted to the service provider for this purpose. The data processing (especially the use purpose and storage location) depend on the regulations of the service provider. UBS has no influence on the data processing and accordingly assumes no liability in this regard. If data is transmitted abroad, it may no longer be protected by the laws of your country (for example, laws relating to banking secrecy, financial privacy, other provisions on client confidentiality and data protection may not necessarily provide equivalent or comparable protection compared to the rights under the laws that apply to your relationship with UBS) and may be subject to foreign regulations that permit forwarding of the data to responsible local authorities or other third parties.

Certain events may be attended by representatives of the public media. They may take photos of participants and/or film participants. By participating in such events, you consent to the publication of such pictures in public media.

During events, we may take photos and/or film events. This also involves photographing and/or filming participants. The pictures may be used for advertising, publicity work, commercial or other business purposes of UBS. By registering for an event, you agree that UBS may duplicate, distribute, broadcast and use these pictures for the above-mentioned purposes.

Pictures or audio recordings of you may constitute personal data (for example, if it is possible to identify you), in which case you may object to further processing of such data.

Any person resident in Switzerland may take part in prize draws, unless expressly stated otherwise. Participation is free of charge and without obligation. Winners will be determined at random and notified directly by UBS after the closing date for participation. Multiple entries are excluded.

Should it not be possible to contact a winner within an appropriate period of up to four weeks, the claim to the winnings lapses and we may draw a new winner. The prize cannot be exchanged or paid out in cash. There is no claim to issue of the winnings under another name. Swiss substantive law applies exclusively. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the draw.

Any taxes, charges or fees incurred as a result of winning the prize are to be borne by the winners. UBS reserves the right to exclude participants from the competition without stating grounds, especially in the event of the suspicion of offensive contents, abuse or other manipulation.

By participating, the participant (in the case of minors, the legal representative) accepts the terms and conditions of participation and hereby agrees that all personal data provided may also be used, in addition to the above-mentioned purpose, for UBS’s own marketing purposes, especially for product advertising and newsletters.

UBS excludes any liability and responsibility in connection with the organization and redemption of the prize.

You must take care that pictures, videos and other content you upload to UBS websites do not infringe any third-party rights, copyrights and/or personal rights, do not depict any insulting, discriminating, violent or inflammatory contents and that the contents are suitable for the purpose of the campaign/activity for which they were uploaded. The views advanced by persons uploading their own content are their own and may diverge from the official opinion of UBS.

UBS does not accept, review or consider any unsolicited ideas, works, materials, proposals, suggestions, artwork, content or the like, including for advertising campaigns, promotions, products, services, technologies, product enhancements, processes, marketing strategies, product names, content or creative materials (“submissions”).

If you submit such submissions, you agree that they, along with the intellectual property rights, will automatically become property of UBS without any compensation to you. UBS may use or redistribute the submissions and their contents for any purpose and in any way on an unrestricted basis and there is no obligation for UBS to keep any submissions confidential.
