On September 7, 2018 the results of this year's GRESB benchmarking were announced. The results of Real Estate Switzerland were again very pleasing. All real estate investment products have contributed to the quality of the Swiss building park by implementing measures in the three dimensions of ecology, economy and society. We have been able to further increase the resource efficiency of our portfolios and feel encouraged by the results of GRESB benchmarking in our sustainability strategy, which applies equally to all eight products.

Throughout our real estate portfolio, energy consumption has been reduced by almost 3700 megawatt hours, which corresponds to the consumption of more than 300 households. Water consumption has been reduced by optimizing existing buildings and refurbishing around 13,500 cubic meters, or five Olympic sized swimming pools.

These measures not only benefit tenants and investors, but also contribute to a conscious and efficient use of natural resources without losing sight of profitability and social aspects.

RE-CH participates in the GRESB Benchmarking since 2018 and since 2017 with all its eight real estate investment products. GRESB (Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark) is a real estate-specific global sustainability platform that annually reviews and compares the ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) performance of real estate vehicles.

Sustainability at RE-CH

The sustainability strategy of RE-CH is based on the conviction that optimal performance is only possible in the long term through socially, economically and ecologically sustainable property management. Our actions are based on these three cornerstones of our strategy. A comprehensive understanding of sustainability is of central importance in order to make a successful contribution to the sustainable development of society.
