Global Capital 2016

On September 20th UBS was named FX Derivatives Bank of the Year at the 2016 Global Capital Global Derivatives Awards. These awards honour the companies, platforms, services and products that have made an impact on the global derivatives market during the last 12 months.

This year has been framed by the global regulatory push on derivative markets reaching peak velocity, with both mandatory clearing of some products coming into force as well as margin rules for uncleared swaps in Canada, Japan and the US. It is against this backdrop that Global Capital’s 2016 awards recognize not only overall excellent performance but also the initiatives of teams within firms to adapt to some of the toughest challenges the market has yet faced.

Alongside being named ‘FX Derivatives Bank of the Year’, UBS was also named by Global Capital as:

  • Research and Strategy Bank of the Year
  • Single Dealer Electronic Platform of the Year for UBS Neo
