Q: Will my interest rate change?

That depends on your individual circumstances. The interest rate varies depending on the term, mortgage and the current market. During the online renewal process, you can compare interest rate offers from different UBS mortgages.

Q: Can I fix the interest rate in advance?

You can renew your mortgage up to 12 months in advance. This allows you to lock in the interest rate you are currently paying, which is particularly useful if you are concerned about rising interest rates.

Q: Can I increase my mortgage at the same time, for example for renovations?

You cannot increase your mortgage directly when renewing it online. Please contact your client advisor to discuss your options. During the consultation, you will also learn which renovations have a positive effect on the value of your property, how you can save CO 2 , and how you can benefit from attractive interest rate discounts for renovation projects and offers from our partner network.

What are my options when it comes to prolonging my mortgage online?

You can choose from the following terms when prolonging online:

Fixed-rate mortgage: from 2 to 10 years
SARON mortgage: indefinite term, 13-month notice period (for you and for UBS)
SARON Flex mortgage: indefinite term, 1-month notice period (for you) and 13 months for UBS

You can see the interest rate and the monthly costs directly in Digital Banking. If everything looks right, you can prolong your mortgage directly without making any changes.

If you’d like to increase your mortgage or adjust it in some other way, you can make an appointment directly with your client advisor.
