Capital deposit account: the first step for your start-up

A capital deposit account is a temporarily blocked bank account into which you deposit your company capital for the formation of a company, capital increase or subsequent contribution. 

You receive a confirmation of capital contribution for the notary and commercial register. After entry, the capital will be released and transferred to your company’s account.

It is intended for AG, GmbH, and limited partnerships with share capital, domiciled in Switzerland. It is typically used for company foundations, capital increases or subsequent capital payments.

If you transfer the capital to a UBS Business Account after incorporation, the UBS Capital Deposit Account is free of charge.

Deposits can be made in CHF, EUR or USD. The capital deposit confirmation is issued in the account currency and for the amount actually deposited. This helps avoid unnecessary conversions.

The balance on the capital deposit account does not earn interest.

The capital will be released once the registration in the commercial register has been completed. After submitting the original excerpt from the commercial register, we transfer the amount to your company’s account – and you can start operations immediately.
