Bright Horizons Back-Up Care™ provides access to back-up care during a temporary breakdown in regular care arrangements through a nationwide network of high quality child care centers, camps and in-home caregivers for both children and adult loved ones.
All full-time and part-time UBS employees (eligible for benefits) who have caregiving responsibility for children from three months to 12 years of age are eligible for the Bright Horizons Back-Up Care Program®. You may use back-up care for up to 20 days per dependent per year, and five consecutive days at a time - at a discounted rate of $20 per child per day. UBS will absorb the cost of the first two copays per dependent with Bright Horizons.
The program gives you access to a nationwide network of high-quality, licensed child care centers. Each is staffed with trained professionals with expertise in early childhood and elementary education, and certified in first aid, CPR and safety procedures.
We recommend that you register in advance so you are ready to use the Back-Up Care Program when you need care. Reservations are required and are accepted 90 days in advance up to last minute.
Your care options through Bright Horizons® include in-home care options for children and elders. For instance, if your child’s school is closed or your caregiver is unavailable, you have the option of using a Bright Horizons center or scheduling in-home care. Families who require assistance for an adult/elder can schedule a Bright Horizons® in-home caretaker to help manage their workday.
