Meet our global leadership team
Aleksandar Ivanovic
Aleksandar was appointed President of Asset Management in March 2024. He was previously Head of Client Coverage, responsible for our client activities globally, and Head of EMEA and Switzerland, with responsibility for developing and implementing Asset Management’s strategy in these regions. He joined Asset Management in 2017.
Seraina Frey
Seraina was appointed Chief Operating Officer in 2026, alongside her role as Head of AM Technology which she has held since 2022. In addition to her divisional COO role, she is responsible for AM’s technology estate and is driving the technology strategy aligned to the business priorities. Since joining UBS in 2006 she has held a variety of senior leadership positions within UBS and currently serves on the Board of Directors of UBS Business Solutions India.
Barry Gill
Barry was appointed Head of Investments in 2019. Prior to his current role, Barry was the Head of Active Equities and, before that, he ran a concentrated long/short strategy as part of O’Connor. Barry has been with UBS since 1995 and held a variety of roles across the divisions.
Markus Miederhoff
Markus is responsible for all legal matters for the division. He also co-ordinates all corporate contact with regulators. Markus joined UBS Asset Management in 2015 and is also a member of the UBS Group Legal Executive Committee.
Johannes Minho Roth
Johannes was appointed Co-Head of Unified Global Alternatives (UGA) in 2024. He joined UBS in 2021 having previously held multiple senior positions in the alternatives space.
André Müller-Wegner
André Müller-Wegner was appointed as Head of Client Coverage and Asset Management Region Head Switzerland in June 2024. He is also the Chairman of UBS Asset Management Deutschland GmbH. Since joining UBS in 1999, he has held a variety of roles, including Head of GWM Client Coverage.
Desmond Ng
Desmond Ng joined UBS in October 2025 as Asset Management Region Head APAC. He previously held various senior leadership roles in the asset management industry.
Jerry Pascucci
Jerry was appointed Co-Head of Unified Global Alternatives (UGA) in 2024. He joined UBS in 2010 and has held a broad variety of alternatives-focused senior leadership roles.
James (Jim) Poucher
Jim Poucher was appointed Head Asset Management Transformation in November 2024, in addition to his roles as Head of Asset Management Integration, and the Asset Management Region Head Americas.
His previous roles include Global Head, Asset Management Operations, and Americas Head of Operations across the UBS Group.
Gaylee Saliba
Gaylee was appointed Asset Management Chief Strategy Officer and Head Asset Management Investments & Partnerships on 1 September 2024. Gaylee is responsible for developing AM’s strategy, ensuring its execution, and leading on a number of strategic initiatives. She also is responsible for managing all AM’s minority interests and broader partnerships. She joined Asset Management in 2015 and previously held various roles in AM Products & Solutions and was most recently Head AM Finance & Advisory.
Marco Sartore
Marco is responsible for the business's activities to attract, develop and retain industry-leading talent. He joined UBS in 2006 and has held various business and regional HR roles across both UBS Asset Management and UBS Wealth Management.
Rachael Sledge
Rachael Sledge is the Chief Financial Officer for Asset Management and the Chief Financial Officer for UBS APAC. In addition, she is a member of the UBS Group Finance Executive Committee, and the APAC Management Team. Since joining UBS in 2000, Rachael has held various leadership roles across Equity Research, IB Strategy and Finance.
Susanne (Susi) Sweys
Susi Sweys was appointed Chief Risk Officer for Asset Management in 2026, in addition to her role as Chief Risk Officer for UBS Treasury which she has held since 2023. She previously had 1st line Trading, and Treasury roles across IB and Finance in Zurich, Hong Kong and Singapore.
James Vertigen
James is responsible for all compliance and operational risks for the business and was appointed in 2018. James joined UBS in 2005 and has held a variety of roles across legal, risk, regulatory management and compliance. James previously worked as a solicitor at a law firm.
