Over the past three years, the «VIVO Aesch» district has been developed in the central location that lies close to nature at the entrance to Aesch (BL) – with four independent building units grouped around a large, green square with play areas and spaces for encounters. The diversified range of uses includes 228 rental apartments, 36 VivoLive apartments, fully fitted office space (VivoWork), commercial space, studios and hobby rooms. The fully leased apartments were occupied between August and October 2024.

Optimal transport connections and high quality experience

The Vivo site, which covers an area of almost 16,000 m2, is easily accessible with both public transit and private vehicles. Basel Central Station can be reached in less than 30 minutes with the tram line 11 from the tram stop that lies directly in front of it. The highway connection to the A18 is only a few minutes drive away. Schools, shopping facilities and the local recreation area are all within walking distance.

The district cleverly combines living, working and well-being: a central neighborhood square, equipped with a playground, numerous seating areas and a fountain, connects the four buildings and serves as a central meeting point. Studios and hobby rooms are among the project’s additional services.

Modern living in an urban environment

The entire Vivo site, with its 228 apartments and around 4,700 m2 of commercial and service space, has been certified with the SNBS Gold certificate. The photovoltaic system on the roofs provides electricity for the tenants’ own consumption.

  • The 40-meter-high tower marks the entrance to the municipality of Aesch and offers space for office use (VivoWork), commercial areas and the central foyer. There are 36 long-stay apartments available on the 4th and 5th floors of VivoLive, which will be offered by City-Pop in the short to medium term. Floors 6 to 13 house 80 rental apartments.
  • In the courtyard, there is a daycare center on the ground floor, as well as studios for small businesses and a bakery with a café. There are 36 rental apartments on the 3 upper floors and a quiet inner courtyard has been created in the middle of the building.
  • The «comb» contains 57 rental apartments with at least 2-sided exposure and attractive south-facing terraces overlooking the park, as well as a community room with a connection to the neighborhood square.
  • The «slice» contains 55 rental apartments on 6 floors. The residential offerings include duplex apartments on the first and top floors.
