Are you ready for your feathered guests?

They tweet, chirp and warble to us cheerfully every morning, but blackbirds, thrushes, finches and starlings only seldom show their beaks.

You can change that! Simply assemble your Topsy birdhouse, put it in front of your house and, before long, your feathered friends will flock to it. Feeding time is the perfect moment to get a look at their beaks, for example. But there are a few things to consider if you want to fill their hungry stomachs in the long term.

How to help songbirds properly in winter

Topsy recommends holding off on feeding birds until colder seasons when it’s frosty. He also says you should put your birdhouse near bushes and trees: your feathered friends will sing with joy! Remember that for birds, just like people, too much fat is unhealthy! That’s why Topsy advises giving them a mix of sunflower seeds and hemp seeds. Even grubby little birds need to keep clean, so remember to clean your birdhouse well every two to three days and to keep the food dry. This will keep your guests from getting sick.

A clean granary

Topsy’s birdhouse is made in Switzerland with wood from sustainably managed European forests (PEFC certified). What is especially handy is the built-in dispenser function: it ensures that birds receive as much food as they want – while keeping the rest protected from dirt and moisture.
