First stop on the world tour

Wapping Hydraulic Power Station

Built in 1890, Wapping Hydraulic Power Station provides a fascinating glimpse into London’s industrial history. Situated on the north bank of the Thames, east of Tower Bridge, it harnessed water from the river to provide power to the surrounding docks and throughout central London. It now provides the perfect environment for the inaugural exhibition of WOMEN: New Portraits.
