You can now log in to UBS Wealth with more peace of mind. Set a PIN to protect the UBS Access App even if you lose your smartphone. We keep the app fully updated in order to offer you optimum protection at all times. The UBS Access App also allows you to receive messages about security-related events.

All UBS clients need to register their mobile number. This allows us to inform you about security-related events and send you activation codes via SMS. Follow these instructions to register your phone number.

General
You should always log out from your UBS Wealth sessions before leaving your computer and mobile devices. This ends your digital banking session and prevents anyone from gaining unauthorized access to your data and conducting fraudulent transactions.
UBS is committed to providing you the best service and support. UBS staff will not ask you to disclose sensitive personal information via unsolicited emails, telephone calls or instant messages.
If you suspect that your security has been breached or that someone has gained unauthorized access to your UBS Wealth account, you should contact the UBS emergency hotline immediately.

Yes, you can use the UBS Access App with the same UBS Wealth contract on up to five mobile devices.
You can view your mobile devices with the UBS Access App for that contract number.
Mobile devices are named differently in the UBS Access App:
- For iOS devices, the name will follow Apple’s guidelines for device names: Click here
- For Android devices, the name is set as follows: <Manufacturer> <Model>.
- The UBS Access App only uses the first 32 characters of the name.
- If you have named your mobile devices in older versions of the UBS Access App, the names will not be affected.
- Activate the UBS Access App for the first contract.
- Launch the UBS Access App.
- Select “Contract no.”.
- Select “Add contract number”.

UBS Access App
The UBS Access App is based on a state-of-the-art UBS security solution. Logging in with the UBS Access App offers optimum security.
Key security features:
• The UBS Access App checks the security of your mobile device before every login.
• Your PIN, which you set yourself, protects the UBS Access App even if you lose your smartphone.
• The security code for logging in is generated automatically and sent directly to UBS via a highly secure data connection.
• We keep the UBS Access App fully updated in order to offer you optimum protection at all times.
• iOS mobile devices that are jailbroken and Android mobile devices that are rooted will not be able to register the UBS Access App, or use it to log in.
The iPhone screen lock check is an additional security measure to protect the UBS Access App from unauthorized access.
If you deactivate your iPhone's screen lock after installing and activating the UBS Access App, the app will no longer work. For security reasons, re-enabling the screen lock is not enough to be able to use the UBS Access App again. You have to go through the activation process again (Refer to Getting started).
Please note the requirements for using the UBS Access App. We always recommend installing the latest version of the app from Google Play Store.
Below, you will find help for common problems:
"Rooted device" error message
This can occur if the usage restrictions defined by the manufacturer are removed from a mobile device (Rooting, Custom ROMs). For security reasons, the UBS Access App will no longer be usable in this case. Please revert the device's settings back to their original state in order to use the UBS Access App.
Installed apps like SuperSU can also block the UBS Access App, as these could affect the app's security. Removing such apps could help to resolve the problem.
Downloading problems
If you experience problems while downloading and installing the UBS Access App, please empty the Google Play Store cache.
For example, with Samsung devices:
- Open the device's settings.
- Select "Apps".
- Select "Google Play Store".
- Select "Storage".
- Select "Delete cache" and "Delete data".
Other errors
Activating the function for sending error reports to Google helps us assist you with any problems you may encounter. We can then resolve your issue by analyzing these messages. Furthermore, we greatly appreciate your feedback in the Google Play Store, whether we helped you resolve an issue or if you have simply had a positive experience using the UBS Access App. Providing a specific description of your problem will help us to better assist you.
First, please ensure that your device is:
- using the latest version of its operating system
- not jailbroken or rooted
- screen-lock-enabled (if it is an iOS device)
Also, please note that you can use the UBS Access App with the same UBS Wealth contract on up to five different mobile devices.
To view the number of mobile devices that you have registered:
- Launch UBS Wealth.
- Go to “Settings”.
- Select “Security”.
- Select “Access App”.
In the event of loss, theft or suspicion of misuse, for security reasons you should immediately block the UBS Access App for your device. Then, please contact the UBS emergency hotline:
Australia: 1800 65 9902 (within Australia) or +612 9324 2999 (outside Australia)
If your mobile device is recovered, please contact the UBS Wealth hotline to lift the block. You will not need to activate the UBS Access App again.
If the device is not recovered, please deactivate the UBS Access App by contacting the UBS Wealth hotline or follow the self-service steps via UBS Wealth (refer to Deactivation).
If you no longer have access to your existing device, you will need to go through the standard activation process (refer to Getting started).
If you still have access to your existing device, follow the App-2-App activation process below.
Start the process on your new device
1. Install the UBS Access App on your new device
2. Select Set up now
- Enter your contract number
- Enter the last four digits of your mobile number – please use the number you have registered with us
- Select the Activate with Access App now button and follow the instructions
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to activate Bluetooth and location access
4. When ready, tap Send SMS now
- You will receive an SMS code to the number registered with us
- Enter the SMS code
5. A QR code will appear. Now, go to your existing device which has the activated UBS Access App
Switch to your existing device, which has the activated UBS Access App
6. Open the UBS Access App and scan the QR code using the screen of your new device
7. Tap Next and follow the instructions
- Keep the phones close to one another to enable Bluetooth
- Enter your UBS Access App PIN – this is the PIN you created when activating the UBS Access App on your existing device
8. Tap Close
Finish the process on your new device
9. Create a PIN for the UBS Access App – this is the PIN you will use to log into the app on this device
The UBS Access App is now activated on your new device!
Note that the deactivation of the UBS Access App on your existing device is not automatic. If you will no longer be using your existing device, we recommend deactivating the UBS Access App on that device.
Via UBS Wealth:
- Go to “Settings”.
- Select “Security”.
- Select “Access App”.
- Deactivate your mobile device.
Via the UBS Access App:
- Go to “Settings”.
- Select “Manage access authorizations”.
- Select “Remove access“.
- Deactivate the UBS Access App.
- Uninstall it from my mobile device.
If you would like to use the UBS Access App again in the future, you will have to install it again and register it with your UBS Wealth contract.
For security reasons, it has to be registered again on your device for your UBS Wealth contract.
Here are the steps to do this:
- Deactivate the UBS Access App
- Follow the steps to activate it (Refer to Getting started).
Upon activating the UBS Access App, you will receive UBS Wealth security messages via UBS Access App push notifications. If push notifications cannot be delivered, you will receive an SMS notification within 30 minutes. Additionally, you will receive an SMS notification if you do not read the security notifications in the UBS Access App within 24 hours*.
*Subject to change.
Below are examples of UBS Wealth security notifications that are sent to the UBS Access App:
- UBS Wealth contract number / Login ID is blocked
UBS Access App-related events such as activation, PIN change and de-registration security notifications will be sent to you via SMS.
For your reference, these UBS Wealth and UBS Access App security notifications are also available in the message center of the app.
Note: The date/time displayed in the UBS Access App message center and message header is in Coordinated Universal Time (i.e., UTC, which is eight hours behind SG/HK time).
- Launch the UBS Access App.
- Go to “Settings”.
- Select “Manage PIN”.
- Select your chosen contract.
- Select “Reset”.
OR
As you log in to the UBS Access App, go to the PIN entry page.
- Select "Forgot PIN" on this page.
- The UBS Access App will be deactivated.
- You can then reactivate the UBS Access App and set a new PIN (Refer to Getting started).
- Launch the UBS Access App.
- Go to “Settings”.
- Select “Manage PIN”.
- Select “Change”.
- Select the relevant contract, if you have activated the UBS Access App for more than one contract.
- Enter your current PIN.
- Enter a new PIN.
- Enter the new PIN again.
- Select "Save".
To do this, launch the UBS Access App, open “Settings”, select “Language”, where you can choose your preferred language.
For UBS Wealth :
- Please ensure that you have successfully downloaded and registered the UBS Access App for your UBS Wealth contract.
- Download the latest version of UBS Wealth.
- Go to the list of available login methods, and select the "Access App".
- A device with the latest version of the relevant operating system

Biometric authentication
- Open the UBS Access App.
- Go to “Settings" and enable “Login with fingerprint/Touch ID/Face ID”.
- Confirm to enable use of fingerprint/Touch ID/Face ID as the login method by inputting your UBS Access App PIN.
- You can always add or remove biometrics from your device's settings menu. For security reasons, we recommend that you use your own biometric data to enable login to your device (and not the biometric data of any other person).

- Open the UBS Access App.
- Go to "Settings" and select “Login with fingerprint/Touch ID/Face ID”.
- Confirm that you wish to disable fingerprint/Touch ID/Face ID as a login method.
If you cannot find the biometric authentication service, you may be required to update your UBS Access App:
- Open the UBS Access App.
- Go to "Settings" and select “Update verifying”.
- You will be guided through the upgrade.
If you change your settings or update your records for fingerprint/Touch ID/Face ID on your device, you will need to re-confirm your biometrics again by starting the process again.

Yes, the default login method for the UBS Access App service is by PIN. You can continue to access UBS Wealth by using a PIN.
