Shinichi Yokote Appointed President of UBS Securities Japan

Tokyo, October 30, 2025 - UBS Securities Japan Co., Ltd. (UBSSJ) today announced that Shinichi Yokote will become its President and Representative Director, effective November 4, 2025. Zenji Nakamura, who has headed UBSSJ since 2012, will become Chairman of UBSSJ and remain Representative Director of the entity. He will also remain UBS Group’s Japan Country Head.

Prior to joining UBS, Yokote worked for 25 years at Goldman Sachs in its Global Markets division, most recently as that unit’s Chairman. In conjunction with sales and trading, he has aligned closely with an array of asset management and investment banking functions including capital management strategy. He was named a partner at Goldman Sachs in 2006. Yokote began his career with Mitsubishi Bank’s Fixed Income division.
