Hong Kong, January 10, 2023 – UBS is delighted to be the Lead Partner of the Wheel of Good Fortune at the Hong Kong Observation Wheel in Central. The festival, which is open to the public from January 14 to February 12, 2023, is Hong Kong’s first public Chinese New Year celebration in three years. A brand new Lunar New Year experience, the “Wheel of Good Fortune” promises to be an event suitable for the Hong Kong community to come together and start the Year of the Rabbit. Colourful lantern displays, a golden selfie installation, rides and skill games will allow participants to win prizes and enjoy the event.
Amy Lo, Co-Head Wealth Management Asia Pacific, UBS Global Wealth Management, Head and Chief Executive, UBS Hong Kong, said: “We are very excited to kick off the new year together with the whole of Hong Kong at the Wheel of Good Fortune, where families and friends can spend some fun time together during this festive season. With Hong Kong relaxing the restrictions around COVID, we are confident that the city will be going into a period of growth as we return to more normal business routines.”
Taichi Takahashi, Head of Investment Bank, Asia Pacific at UBS, said: “We support and encourage community engagements as part of our commitment to the locations in which we operate. Our colleagues are excited to take this opportunity to volunteer, bringing students and spending time with them at the festival with our community partners. The Wheel of Good Fortune is a perfect place to welcome the Year of the Rabbit, relax and enjoy ourselves. Let’s all begin the new year with some fun!”
Produced by the teams behind the award-winning The Grounds, Summer at the Wheel and Winter at the Wheel, the event will be open to the public from January 14 to February 12, 2023.
