Sydney , April 27, 2021 – UBS Asset Management is pleased to announce the expansion of its Australian Fixed Income team with the appointment of Tom Nash as a Portfolio Manager.

Tom joins UBS Asset Management following ten years at HSBC in Australia and London, where he was part of the Global Fixed Income research team and was primarily responsible for HSBC’s strategy on rates and foreign exchange for Australia, New Zealand and Japan.

Tom Nash, CFA

Tom was previously a Rates and Foreign Exchange (FX) strategist at HSBC in Sydney. In addition to setting HSBC’s strategy for Australia, New Zealand and Japan FX and rates he published thematic research reports and trade recommendations on bonds, interest rates, derivatives and FX. Prior to his move to Australia, Tom was at HBSC and was responsible for HSBC’s CEEMEA Rates Strategy and was part of the emerging market team which was ranked #1 for EM Sovereign Research in the 2016 Euromoney survey.
