London, November 6 – UBS announced today that the firm has been awarded "Best Global Private Bank,” “Best Private Bank for Impact and Sustainable Investing" and "Best Private Bank in Asia" for 2020, by Professional Wealth Management and The Banker. Winners were announced during the 12th annual awards ceremony, held virtually this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
A panel of 15 industry professionals based in North America, Asia, Europe and the Middle East judged entries on factors including how much the bank has progressed, how it looks after clients, how well it adapts to people‘s changing investment needs, and its ability to connect with future generations.
“When UBS brings together its best talent, scale and resources from around the firm, we create a competitive advantage that's unmatched,” said Tom Naratil, Co-President UBS Global Wealth Management and President UBS Americas. “The team’s focus, their agility and their hard work really made all the difference.”
“Wealth management is about people and relationships. It’s about being there for clients when they need you the most,” Iqbal Khan, Co-President UBS Global Wealth Management added. “Tom and I could not be prouder of how the team has delivered.”
This latest recognition caps a successful year in which UBS has won numerous accolades including the “World’s Best Bank for Wealth Management” at the 2020 Euromoney Awards for Excellence. UBS was also one of the first wealth manager’s in the industry to announce that sustainable investments are now the firm’s preferred solution for private clients investing globally.
“We believe that sustainable investing will prove to be one of the most exciting and durable opportunities for private clients in the years and decades ahead,” said Khan.
