UBS Global Asset Management is pleased to announce the expansion of its Australian Global Asset Management team with the appointments of Jonathan BAIRD as Fixed Income Specialist and David REDFORD-BELL as National Sales Manager within the Wholesale Sales team.

Sydney, 9 September 2015: UBS Global Asset Management is pleased to announce the expansion of its Australian Global Asset Management team with the appointments of Jonathan BAIRD as Fixed Income Specialist and David REDFORD-BELL as National Sales Manager within the Wholesale Sales team.

Jonathan's role as Fixed Income Specialist in the Sydney-based UBS Fixed Income team is a newly-created role where he will support the existing book of business in the region and assist the Distribution team to continue to grow our fixed income assets under management. Jonathan joins UBS from Zenith Investment Partners, an investment research provider for financial advisors, where he has been a Senior Investment Analyst for the past four years.

David is a member of the Wholesale Sales team and will be based out of our Queensland office. His role as National Sales Manager involves the implementation of UBS Global Asset Management's 'managed funds' initiative within Australia, with primary responsibility for Queensland. In this role David will work closely with financial advisers and intermediaries, research personnel and administration service providers. David has worked for BlackRock for the past nine years across managed funds and iShares within the wholesale and institutional space. David has a deep understanding of markets and a strong sales background with over 11 years industry experience.

Jonathan Baird has over eight years industry experience having previously worked at Australian Unity Investments and more recently, Zenith Investment Partners. At Zenith Jonathan was lead analyst on debt and equity sector reviews. His responsibilities included coordinating and participating in both international and domestic research trips, overseeing and producing reports and thought pieces on asset markets.

Jonathan commenced his role at UBS Global Asset Management, Sydney in September 2015.

David Redford-Bell has extensive experience in financial services working in funds management distribution for the past nine years. Prior to joining UBS Global Asset Management, David held various senior management roles at BlackRock Investment Management, most recently as BlackRock's area manager for the North Region (Queensland, Northern Territory and Northern New South Wales) where his responsibilities included Retail, iShares and institutional service and sales. David is a certified financial analyst.

David commenced his role at UBS Global Asset Management, Queensland in August 2015.
