Sydney, 30 July 2015: UBS Global Asset Management is pleased to announce the expansion of its Australian Global Asset Management team with the senior appointments of Vasco GIL as Product Manager, James DUCK as Director, Institutional Business Development and Jennifer ALKER as Marketing Manager.

Vasco's role in the UBS Product Development and Management Team as Director – Product Development & Management involves managing the lifecycle of UBS' Australian managed funds. Vasco is responsible for handling current product development opportunities, enhancement of product platform capabilities, monitoring market trends and ensuring compliance with the Australian regulatory regime. Vasco joins UBS with over 10 year's product experience from his extended tenure at AMP and more recently Russell Investments.
James is a member of the Institutional Business Development team and is responsible for growing our business in Australia and key client relationships. James joins the team with eighteen years of industry experience previously holding senior sales management roles at Fidante Partners and ING Investment Management.
Jennifer's role as Marketing Manager is a newly-created role where she will be responsible for overseeing UBS Global Asset Management's marketing activities, supporting UBS' strategic growth initiatives and building on the franchises growing success in Australia. Prior to joining UBS, Jennifer worked at Fidelity Worldwide Investment in various marketing roles and has broad experience within the Asset Management industry.

Vasco Gil joined AMP Financial Services in 2002 and has held multiple roles within the products sector. In 2011, he was promoted to Manager - Australian Product Development at AMP and was responsible for managing the innovative ideas pipeline, offer document delivery and product strategy. In 2013, Vasco joined Russell Investments as Product Manager and was responsible for end to end product management initiatives including project management of product restructure & fund closures, competitor analysis, research house relationship management and offer document delivery.
Vasco commenced his role at UBS Global Asset Management in April 2015.
James Duck is an experienced sales professional with over eighteen years industry experience. Prior to joining UBS Global Asset Management, James was Senior Manager, Institutional Business Development with Fidante Partners, the boutique funds management division of Challenger Ltd, where he worked for 5 years. Previous to that he was Senior Manager, Institutional Sales with ING Investment Management. Prior to joining the Institutional market in 2007, James held a number of roles in the industry, including senior retail sales and marketing roles. James is a certified investment management analyst (CIMA) ® certification holder
James commenced his role at UBS Global Asset Management in July 2015.
Jennifer Alker worked at Fidelity Worldwide Investment for seven years in various marketing roles directly prior to joining UBS Global Asset Management. She has also worked at a boutique asset manager, responsible for establishing the marketing function. Jennifer has broad marketing experience, having worked in marketing roles within the Asset Management industry for over a decade. Her experience includes brand and advertising, campaign management, product marketing and digital strategy.
Jennifer commenced her role at UBS Global Asset Management in May 2015.
