As growing portions of society become increasingly concerned about the broader impact of business activities, companies are changing how they operate. These developments in turn are leading investors – including UBS's clients – to increasingly incorporate environmental, social and governance factors into their decisions. As a result of these changing attitudes, sustainable investing has evolved from a niche discipline to become part of the mainstream financial landscape.

In response to this growing demand, UBS Wealth Management's Chief Investment Office published a global report on sustainable investing, entitled "Adding value(s) to investing". It outlines why investors are drawn to sustainable investing, what it is, as well as the main approaches in this field.

The CIO report forms part of wider efforts by the firm, within its UBS and Society framework, to develop a dedicated, industry-leading platform that delivers comprehensive research, advisory and product capabilities in sustainable investing and philanthropy.
