Q: Who is key4 smart investing suitable for?

key4 smart investing is ideal if you want to invest digitally and independently. You must be a resident of Switzerland, at least 18 years old and use UBS Mobile Banking or UBS E-Banking. If you’re new to UBS, start by opening a bank account – it’s easy to do online.

Q: Is there a minimum amount to get started?

No, you can deposit any amount you like. Investments will be made automatically as soon as you have at least CHF 50 in your key4 smart investing account. This makes it easy to get started even with small amounts. If you’d like to invest regularly, a standing order is a good option.

Q: What’s included in the price?

The price includes: digital support with individual transactions automatic investment in UBS Investment Funds according to your selections account and custody account management buying and selling UBS fund shares access to funds without retrocessions Manage everything conveniently in Digital Banking.

Q: When and how often can I deposit money?

You can make deposits at any time – as often as you’d like. For regular investing, we recommend setting up a standing order ( ETF savings plan ). This allows you to benefit from the average cost effect: When prices are lower, you receive more shares; when prices are higher, you receive fewer. Over the long term, you’ll often pay a lower average price.

Q: Where can I check on the current performance of my funds?

The overview shows you the overall performance of your portfolio. When you tap Positions in your portfolio, you can see the performance of each individual fund – transparent and accessible at any time.

Q: Can I invest on behalf of a child – and what happens when they turn 18?

Yes, that is possible. When opening an account, you can choose whether you want to invest for yourself or for a child. The account is held in the child’s name. You manage the assets until their 18th birthday. Once they reach the age of majority, they automatically gain full access.

Opening	You can open the UBS Fund Account together with a client advisor, either in one of our branches or in a video call. The advisor will explain everything and guide you through the choice of funds.	You can open UBS key4 smart investing on your own in UBS Digital Banking. But you won't be left on your own: the app will guide you through every step of the process and suggest funds to you.
Access and modifications	The UBS Investment Fund Account will be shown in your Digital Banking. If you want to change anything, e.g., the selected funds, your client advisor will be happy to assist you.	You access UBS key4 smart investing via Digital Banking and can also perform changes there, e.g., choosing different funds.
Costs	Administration fees, commissions for investing and disinvesting, and expenses like taxes per fund.	There are two cost components: 0.9% per year on the invested assets plus the ongoing fund costs per fund.
