Innovation with Impact

This year’s cohort of UBS Global Visionaries brings together entrepreneurs tackling some of the world’s most complex challenges, from decarbonising cities and removing carbon from the atmosphere to transforming agriculture, health systems, and water infrastructure. Each Global Visionary combines scientific innovation, scalable technology, and forward-looking business models to drive meaningful, system-level change.

Enerdrape

Enerdrape, led by Margaux Peltier, is reimagining how cities generate clean energy by unlocking the potential beneath our feet.

The company has developed the world’s first non-invasive geothermal panel technology, enabling underground spaces such as parking garages to become renewable energy sources without the need for drilling. By capturing geothermal and residual heat from existing infrastructure, Enerdrape is delivering low-carbon heating and cooling in a way that is cost-effective and easy to retrofit—addressing a major barrier to urban decarbonisation.

Its ambition is to make underground energy as accessible and scalable as solar power, transforming cities into more resilient, energy-efficient systems.

Groundwork BioAg

Groundwork BioAg, led by Dan Grotsky, is transforming agriculture by restoring the natural biological systems that underpin soil health. Using mycorrhizal fungi - beneficial microorganisms that extend plant root systems - the company enables crops to access more nutrients and water, improving yields while reducing resource intensity.

Its innovation lies in scaling these biological solutions through a high-concentration production platform that integrates with existing farming practices, aiming to make adoption straightforward for growers. By improving soil resilience and allowing carbon to be stored naturally in the ground, Groundwork BioAg demonstrates how regenerative agriculture can deliver both economic and environmental value at scale.

Oxyle

Oxyle, led by Dr. Fajer Mushtaq, is addressing one of the most persistent environmental threats: PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) contamination in water systems. These “forever chemicals” are increasingly found in groundwater and are notoriously difficult to remove. Oxyle’s modular treatment systems combine separation, destruction, and monitoring technologies that aim to eliminate PFAS permanently.

Using its proprietary OxLight process, the company has already treated millions of litres of contaminated water, achieving degradation rates of up to 98–99% for even the most challenging compounds. By translating advanced scientific research into scalable infrastructure, Oxyle is helping protect ecosystems and human health from long-lasting chemical pollution.

Scope Impact

Scope Impact, led by Mari Tikkanen, is redefining how health systems respond to the growing pressures of climate change. Working across Europe, Asia, and Africa, the organization develops innovations that aims to strengthen resilience at every level - from individuals and communities to entire health systems.

Its portfolio includes AI-enabled self-care tools, training platforms for healthcare workers, and governance tools that align stakeholders and help to unlock financing for climate-resilient infrastructure. By combining scientific evidence, human-centred design, and local partnerships, Scope Impact is supporting health systems not only to withstand climate pressures but to evolve in response to them.

UNDO

UNDO, founded by Jim Mann, is tackling one of climate change’s toughest challenges: scaling durable carbon removal. The company is pioneering enhanced rock weathering (ERW), a nature-based process that accelerates the natural absorption of carbon dioxide by spreading mineral-rich crushed rock on agricultural land.

This approach not only removes CO₂ from the atmosphere but also brings co-benefits for soil health and crop productivity, linking carbon removal with agricultural resilience. With major partnerships and global recognition - including success in the XPRIZE Carbon Removal competition - UNDO is building the infrastructure required to scale carbon removal to globally meaningful levels.

xFarm Technologies

xFarm Technologies, led by Dr. Matteo Vanotti, is digitizing agriculture by connecting farmers, agrifood companies, and supply chains through a single data platform. In an industry still largely underserved by digital tools, xFarm enables data-driven decision-making through AI-powered field intelligence, helping optimise inputs, improve yields, and reduce environmental impact.

At scale, the platform supports hundreds of thousands of farms and global supply chains, delivering measurable reductions in water use, fertilizer, and chemical inputs. And by embedding sustainability directly into farm operations and supply chain management, xFarm is building the digital backbone for a more efficient, resilient global food system.

Hypercube

Hypercube, co-founded by Pietro Gorgazzini and Alan Torrisi, is addressing global water scarcity by introducing a new financial model for water conservation. The company has developed the first global water credit system, using blockchain technology to measure and tokenize reclaimed water from existing facilities.

Each cubic meter of water reused is recorded on a public ledger and converted into a tradable credit, creating a financial incentive for organisations to invest in alternative water sources such as wastewater treatment and reuse. By turning water savings into a measurable and monetizable asset, Hypercube is making it economically viable to reduce reliance on freshwater resources, unlocking scalable investment in water-positive infrastructure worldwide.

Since its inception, Hypercube has tokenized more than 112 million cubic meters of reclaimed water, showing how its model can help scale investment in water reuse infrastructure worldwide.

From unlocking energy beneath cities to removing carbon at scale and building new financial systems for water, the 2026 UBS Global Visionaries are united by a shared ambition: to transform critical systems in ways that are both scalable and commercially viable. Together, they represent a new generation of leaders turning innovation into real-world progress.

About the UBS Global Visionaries program

The UBS Global Visionaries program helps entrepreneurs create positive change by connecting them with ideas, like-minded people and the tools to amplify their visions and scale solutions that make a difference. Through this 24-month program, UBS supports impact entrepreneurs working across Health, Education, and Climate and Environment by raising awareness of their work, connecting them with clients, prospective clients and employees, and offering expert advice and learning opportunities to help them grow. Since inception, the program has helped more than 100 visionary entrepreneurs accelerate their impact.
