For the second consecutive year, UBS is named "Best Global Private Bank","Best Private Bank in Asia" and "Best Global Brand in Private Banking," in the 2014 Global Private Banking Awards given by PWM The Banker. In addition, UBS was named "Best Private Bank for Philanthropy Services." These prizes follow the title "Best Global Private Bank 2014" that UBS won in the Euromoney Survey earlier this year, and the top award of "Outstanding Global Private Bank" by VRL Private Banker International Award 2014.
As Jürg Zeltner, CEO of UBS Wealth Management, noted "This succession of accolades demonstrates that UBS's capabilities are recognized by the financial services industry and confirms that our focus on providing clients with high-quality advice and solutions to protect and grow their wealth is the right approach."
Yesterday's awards were conferred annually by the magazines The Banker and Professional Wealth Management, both of which are publications of the Financial Times Group. A panel of industry professionals selects winners on criteria such as portfolio management, asset allocation, as well as product strategy and innovation to meet investors' changing needs and risk appetite.
Ms. Kathryn Shih, Head of UBS Wealth Management Asia Pacific and Mario Marconi, Head of Family Services Group, accepted the awards on behalf of UBS in Geneva, Switzerland, at a ceremony attended by over 250 leaders in the global banking industry.
