Learning doesn’t stop with graduation

Widen your perspective

With the chance to receive one-to-one coaching from some of the best in the industry, our 18-24 month Graduate Talent Program is the perfect way to start your career. Rotation is a key part of the program and through working with several different teams, you’ll learn about financial markets, what we offer to clients and our day-to-day operations.

How you will develop

What will you get out of this?

From the moment you join UBS you will be supported by our experienced and welcoming Junior Talent team. They will be on hand throughout your program for anything you might need, along with your line manager and buddy who will work more closely with you day-to-day within your local business area.

We’ll kickstart your Graduate Talent Program (GTP) with GTP Discovery, an interactive 3-day training designed to introduce you to all aspects of life at UBS. Following GTP Discovery, you’ll be enrolled in our Ready 4 Work training, technical training that is designed to prepare you for your day job. The length and content of the training will vary depending on the business area you choose to apply to, but the training for each GTP program is specifically designed to ensure that you are fully prepared and up-to-speed with what you need to know.

What support will you receive?

However, the support doesn’t end once you join your teams. Throughout your time on the 18-24 month GTP program, you’ll be enrolled on our GTP Core Skills Curriculum. This is a series of training modules, all of which are focused on professional skills and will help you to develop as a UBS employee.

Speaking of graduation, we end the GTP program with a GTP Gateway workshop, designed to prepare you for the next stage of your UBS career, outside of the GTP program. Following this, there will be a graduation celebration, one final chance to come together as a GTP class, along with your line managers and Junior Talent team to celebrate your successes.

How will you grow?

Throughout your time as a GTP, you’ll gain lots of new skills and knowledge through our specially designed technical training opportunities. This will ensure that you are in the best position to perform well within your role from the day you join your team.

You’ll also have the opportunity to improve and broaden your soft skills, to enable you to develop as a professional. This includes skills such as communicating with impact and personal branding. These skills will prove very important not only during your time at UBS, but throughout the rest of your career.

Along with the skills you’ll gain, you will create a huge network of peers through our GTPNet. This is a committee of graduates who arrange socials and networking opportunities throughout the year for our GTP class. We find that our GTP classes tend to become very close-knit and the relationships and networks they make during the GTP Program continue long into their careers.

Setting you up for success

Program eligibility criteria

We actively welcome applicants from different degree backgrounds, therefore whether you’re studying finance, technology, history, law – just to name a few – we are very keen to hear from you. We are looking for students who pride themselves in their ability to listen and relate to others, combined with a strong focus on improving the current status quo and continual hunger to learn. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment but still deliver thoughtful solutions to problems is key. UBS is a great place to work and we want people who see challenges as opportunities and have a desire to grow and develop.
