What we look for and when to apply

You don't need a degree in finance to apply to our Internship Program. We're looking for students who are motivated, curious and ready to learn in one of the world’s leading financial services firms. Ideally, you’re a people person who doesn’t shy away from a good challenge. The world of finance is fast-paced, but we’re known for thoughtful and well-defined solutions. It’s how we’ve come this far. We’re a great place to build a career, so bring your ambitions and we’ll match them.
Requirements
- You've completed at least four semesters of your degree
- You haven't graduated more than twelve months before the internship start date
- You're on track for a grade of 4.5 or equivalent in the Swiss grading system
Applications for the February start date typically open in September of the previous year. For internships starting in July and September, applications usually open between January and March of the same year. Timelines may vary depending on the business division, so we recommend setting up a job alert or checking our job page regularly. You may submit a maximum of three applications in total across all our business divisions and Swiss offices during the same academic year.

What I valued most about my internship at UBS was the space I was given to explore. I was encouraged to ask questions, connect with people across the bank and discover what genuinely interested me. The conversations and relationships I built during those six months have stayed with me well beyond the internship and gave me a much clearer idea of where I wanted to go next.

How to apply
We make it very easy to apply, just submit an online application and upload your CV/resume.
Since we don’t ask for cover letters in most regions, let your CV do all the talking to reflect who you are. We want to hear about your hobbies, your interests, academic achievements, work experience and what you’ve learned from these experiences.
