Mobile Banking on a jailbroken or rooted device

When you open the Mobile Banking App, we check whether your device has been jailbroken (for iPhones) or rooted (for Android smartphones).

If the usage restrictions defined by the manufacturer have been removed from the smartphone, there is a risk that security-relevant data and sensitive information may be disclosed. Therefore, after 7 November 2022, the Mobile Banking App can no longer be used on devices that have been modified in this manner.

To continue using the Mobile Banking App, please reset the device back to its original state.

Installed apps like SuperSU or Magisk can also cause access to the Mobile Banking App to be blocked, as these could affect the security of the app. Removing such apps could help to resolve the problem.

Further details on the device requirements for using the Mobile Banking App can be found here.

If you would like to give us feedback on this matter, please get in touch with us.

If you are blocked from using the Mobile Banking App but your device is not jailbroken or rooted, please contact us.
