UBS announced the hiring of financial advisor Raúl Juan Escudero in San Juan, PR. He joined the Puerto Rico Market led by Division Director Ricardo Gonzalez, Market Executive Carlos "Juany" Ortiz and Market Director Roberto Fortuno.

Raúl Juan Escudero is a financial services professional with four decades of industry experience. Throughout his career, he has worked with high-net-worth individuals, families and corporations, bringing together experience in managed accounts, estate planning, insurance, annuities and corporate financial matters. His primary objective is to equip clients with the guidance and resources needed to develop long-term financial plans.

Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Raúl earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Fairfield University in Connecticut and a Juris Doctor from Interamerican University School of Law in San Juan. He is admitted to the Puerto Rico and federal bars.

Before entering financial services, Raúl served as Special Assistant to the Attorney General of Puerto Rico and as an Assistant District Attorney, with a focus on federal civil rights legislation. He subsequently held economic-development leadership roles representing Puerto Rico in Madrid and New York. His responsibilities included industrial promotion efforts in the United States, Europe and Asia.

Raúl began his financial services career with Merrill Lynch in 1985. He later joined PaineWebber, where he served as Senior Vice President and subsequently led the San Juan branch as Branch Manager. He went on to hold senior roles with UBS, Santander Securities, HJ Sims and First Southern. His experience spans financial planning for high-net-worth clients and major corporations, branch leadership and relationship management.

Raúl holds the Series 7, 8, 63 and 65 registrations, as well as insurance licenses. He has been supported for more than three decades by Senior Client Associate Betsy Rodríguez, a longstanding member of his client-service team.
