Leon Ciobataru and Gustavo Ciobataru

UBS announced the hiring of financial advisors Leon Ciobataru and Gustavo Ciobataru in Miami, FL. They joined the Florida International Market led by Regional Director Ricardo Gonzalez, Market Executive Catherine Lapadula and Market Director Nicolas Bergengruen.
Leon Ciobataru joins us most recently from Morgan Stanley where he spent the last 12 years guiding client portfolios, shaping investment strategies, and managing complex relationships. Prior to that he spent time at Wells Fargo Advisors and Prudential Securities, gaining deep expertise in both retail and institutional client service. He brings more than 30 years of experience in global wealth management to UBS, advising high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients, including prominent families and business leaders. Throughout his career, Leon has overseen multi-billion-dollar portfolios and delivered strategies in investment management, risk mitigation, and wealth planning.
Leon holds an MBA in Finance and is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish, with conversational proficiency in Hebrew.
Gustavo Ciobataru has over a decade of experience in global financial services and specializes in advising high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. He plays a key role in managing a multi-billion-dollar portfolio, delivering strategies in international wealth planning, succession, and alternative investments. His prior experience includes roles at Morgan Stanley, Citi, and American Express, where he honed expertise in investment management, retirement and estate planning, liquidity solutions, and philanthropic strategies.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting and a Master’s degree in Accounting from NYU Stern School of Business. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, and also has conversational proficiency in Hebrew.
