More about Elle
I’m a member of an apprentice team within Private Wealth Management (PWM) in London. My role within PWM is to provide support to the client advisors and the client advisor assistants with tasks such as data updates, background checks, assembling client annual review packs and much more. When given these responsibilities, we’re trusted to ensure these tasks are carried out with great care and diligence to minimise to the possibility of error.
As I came straight from school and didn’t choose the university path, the idea of working in the city with people much older and more experienced than me was pretty daunting. However, UBS is far from scary. I was made to feel very welcome from day one by my peers and managers.
For me, the best element is experiencing the working lifestyle while being able to continue my education. I’m studying for a qualification called the Investment Operations Certificate (IOC) at the same time. I’m enjoying studying for the IOC because it is similar to Economics, a subject which I loved at A-levels. The apprenticeship itself lets me gain experience and expand my knowledge and interest in the financial industry.
One of the things I love about working for UBS is my team of apprentices. We support each other to ensure that we have similar amounts of work and are able to meet our deadlines.
Another reason I love working here is the culture, built around the fundamental behaviours and principles the bank values. Integrity, collaboration and challenge.
