Activate Online Payments

You can use your UBS Debit Card with all mobile payment solutions such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, and smartwatches. Additionally, you can link UBS TWINT directly to the account associated with your debit card.

Generally, you are only able to withdraw available funds in your cash account.

Account overdrafts are only possible with an existing overdraft agreement with your bank. You can submit your request for an account overdraft via the mailbox in E-Banking or Mobile Banking. We will gladly review your request.

A reserved amount is a payment that is still being processed. In E-Banking, these amounts are displayed in red with a clock icon.

Reserved amounts may sometimes be higher than the actual amount debited. For example, payments made at petrol stations and for hotel reservations or car rentals may appear as reserved amounts for five days. Only the correct payment amount will be charged.

Yes! All you need to do is hold the card briefly against the card reader. The card stays in your hand during the entire transaction, and data is only transmitted when it is held close to the card reader.

Only one transaction is possible at a time, as the security chip generates a unique code for each transaction. Any attempt to use a code more than once or to use an incorrect code is detected immediately.

For amounts over CHF 80, you will automatically be asked to enter your PIN, adding an additional layer of security.

In the event of a double charge, you can only dispute the charge once the amount has been definitively debited from your account. If you see any double charges, please notify us via the mailbox in E-Banking or Mobile Banking.

You will receive your new debit card within five business days. If you have not received your card within 10 business days, please contact customer service.

If your debit card is about to expire, a replacement card will be sent to you before the expiration date. Important: We recommend replacing your card before your journey if you plan to travel for an extended period and your trip will last longer than your card's validity date. The easiest way to do this is in E-Banking or Mobile Banking. The replacement card will be sent shortly thereafter. A replacement card can be issued free of charge using the self-service function in E-Banking or Mobile Banking; if you call the Helpline, the fee for a replacement is CHF 40.
