Friends with Sparseckli

There are two typical children’s gifts that end up under more than half of all Christmas trees in Switzerland: candy and money. Although the sweets disappear quickly, the little ones can benefit from those cash gifts for years to come – with their parents’ help.

The higher the amount in the gift envelope, the more worthwhile it is to take it to the bank, and even better to do so with your child. Why? Money is safer at UBS than at home, your child will learn about saving, and they'll be able to grant one of their own wishes with their savings later on. What's more, the UBS Savings Account for Young People offers a preferential interest rate and the UBS Investment Fund Account offers higher return opportunities over the long term.

Welcome to Topsy’s year of tinkering!

Money is an abstract concept that makes it difficult for kids to understand what bank accounts are for. So why not teach them early on about the complex topic of finance? You can find out what to pay attention to in our educational principles on finance. Our little fox, Topsy, teaches children about much more than money. For example, this year he's showing how you can run exciting experiments with next to little effort. After all, “no one is too small to be a scientist.” He’ll get started in the spring. And starting in mid-January, your little ones can pick up a new Topsy coloring page at each UBS branch.
