The US, Israel, and Iran have agreed to a two-week ceasefire, with Iran agreeing to open the Strait of Hormuz during this period. This is clearly a positive development and could presage a sustainable end to the conflict. At the same time, with various issues unresolved, investors should be mindful of potential risks. We believe investors should position for medium-term equity upside while diversifying portfolios with quality bonds, gold, and broad commodities.
