Film still from the documentary «Queen of the Stone Age»: Bettina Schulz-Paulson and her husband Jonas

Documentary film «Queen of the Stone Age» by David Bernet

«Queen of the Stone Age» (WT) is a road movie following Swiss archaeologist Bettina Schulz-Paulson and her research family across Europe with the aim of exploring mysterious European megalithic sites. The archaeologist is part of a global movement calling for a paradigm shift in the understanding of human history. She is determined to prove that migration and ethnic mixing 7000 years ago could have been the basis for a pan-European culture. The film provides a vibrant insight into the life of the unusual researcher, shows the spectacular locations of her travels and highlights the sociopolitical issues associated with her theses: Have mobility and migration always been the catalyst for the development of civilization?
