Our Risk Control team is a control function that enables the firm’s strategy. People are at the core of everything we do. We are respected challengers and independent decision makers. We set the boundaries ensuring we make informed decisions and manage risks that ultimately help the firm maintain confidence and protect our reputation. We ensure that controls are not seen to be limiting, but instead, allow us to deliver on the ambitions of our clients and business divisions.

What role does Risk Control play within UBS?

Risk Control provides independent oversight of financial risks arising from UBS' business activities and challenges where appropriate. We ensure prudent and disciplined risk taking is at the center of every decision. Through risk assessment, measurement, aggregation and reporting, we protect our clients’ assets and UBS' capital.

What are we looking out for?

We want students who show a keen interest in UBS and our industry. You’ll share our curiosity about understanding how risk and control frameworks can unleash the potential of organizations, whilst simultaneously providing strong accountability to our clients, shareholders, communities and our people. You will also be a future thinker, questioning what the regulatory environment will look like as we move forward, so we can be proactive in our approach. We love it when our people have the confidence and moral compass to disclose when things are not as they  should be. UBS is a great place to work and we want people who see challenges as opportunities and have a desire to grow and develop.

What can I do to stand out?

What support will I receive?

Everyone who joins UBS will be given a combination of on-the-job training and formal training. When you join you will be assigned a mentor or buddy depending on the program. Your line manager will take an active role in your career progression and development.
