The Compliance, Regulatory and Governance team play an important role at UBS and have a broad mandate to carry out. We take an integrated approach to effectively manage the evolving regulatory and compliance environment and drive solutions in line with UBS's strategic objectives. We also develop clear and coherent standards and make sure they're applied across the firm and its subsidiaries. There’s only little that falls beyond our scope and control.
We are a control function that manages all interactions with governments, regulators and international standard setters to efficiently manage compliance, operational risks and change. We cover operational risks, employee conduct, financial crime prevention, regulatory and governmental affairs, governance arrangements and many more. We closely work with UBS's business divisions and play a vital role in protecting one of our most valuable assets: our brand reputation.
