Ola is a Business Risk Manager in Personal & Corporate Banking (P&C) in Wroclaw. In this interview, she shares what helped her grow over the past decade at UBS in Poland and what she’d tell professionals considering a role in P&C today.

Ola, tell us a bit about yourself and your background.

I graduated in German Studies from the University of Opole and spent about a year and a half in Germany while in school. Which gave me valuable international experience. Later, I completed postgraduate studies at WSB University.

I’m a people-oriented person. I enjoy building connections and creating experiences that bring people together - both in my daily work and through initiatives where collaboration and engagement matter.

How did your journey at UBS begin?

I joined the P&C team in Poland about ten years ago, at a really exciting time. Everything was being set up, so it felt like we were discovering this new world together.

From the start, we were learning how to collaborate across Poland and Switzerland. Early travel to Switzerland helped me quickly feel part of the wider Swiss team, not only the local one.
